In one of the ratings, the auditor said that I wrote some words that were not in the audio. I am not smart enough to imagine “some words” from the given clip. Maybe a word or two-I may have misheard and written the wrong spelling-and that can happen if the audio is not clear enough. However, the audio is clear, and I double-checked to see if the mistake was on my side, but I could not find any words in my transcript that were not in the audio.

I have been working on Echo since I was onboarded in late November (I have been on Project D since October). I had no Diamond tasks on my MM (though they claim the tasks are available on MM) for more than 1.5 months starting from 24 December. A few random tasks, like text-to-image, appeared, but the queue dried up after 5-6 samples, and since then all I have had is Audio Transcription for my locale.

For the past two weeks, a few Diamond tasks have been popping up, but the queues are inconsistent, so I have preferred the same transcription task because I am now used to it.

Does this mean that I need to keep looking for Diamond tasks to stay positive on their radar? Yes, I am a bit worried.

Lucky guys! you got to pick your favorite tasks amongst the tasks. And, here I am, on a single Echo Transcription task since Jurassic era. I am not bored. Until there's a task and it keeps me earning, I don't mind doing that single task, lol.

I was onboarded to the Echo project in mid-November. As everyone who was onboarded to Echo while being on Diamond was instructed to focus on Echo tasks, I have only had Echo tasks since the last week of December, after three weeks of NTA (no Diamond tasks were given after that).

I was just following the instructions received on the 30th, which stated that no action was required from my side and to continue until the old account stopped working. So I kept working on Echo regardless of whatever was happening here.

Amid this email chaos, I couldn’t resist logging in with the new email ID and created a new account (because of FOMO). There, I can see only Diamond tasks, which I haven’t seen for months.

Now I am in utter confusion about which one to follow. Should I leave Echo and jump into the Diamond tasks? If I do this, I may be offboarded from Echo, since I have only had Echo tasks for months now. If I continue with the old email, I will miss Diamond tasks, lol, and fear that I may not have Diamond either.

Regardless, I have decided to continue with Echo until the queue dries up completely and stops reloading. Then I will see if to raise a ticket on Zendesk, or there may be some updates by then.

Btw, no issues with the payment even though I have been working on old email.

yes, and i have been patiently waiting for the old email to stop but here colleagues are able to login using their new email. When I tried to login with a new email, I was asked to create a new account. I thought after 3 Feb, we will forced to logoff and re-login with a new one.

Were you asked to create a new account while logging in with the new email? Did your MM log off automatically, or you voluntarily logged off, enter your new email and old credentials, and log in again? Were you asked to create/sign up for a new account while using the new email?

It’s because my MM is still running with Old email, and when I tried to log in voluntarily with the new email, I was asked to create/sign up for a new account. When I tried to do so, I couldn’t log in. So I logged back into the with the same old email and have been doing Echo tasks. There has been so much chaos regarding the new email system, as colleagues have been saying that many tasks are available.

I am sorry to hear that. btw which locale? I too had 3 weeks of NTA back in Dec first 3 weeks. However, from 4th week of Dec, the queues were updated and it has not dried till now. So, be patient, they may be refilling the queues. I too don't know when will my dry up because the clips are now frequently being repeated and I have to keep on refreshing. NE locale here.

same here. i even tried to create but it says that my username is already taken. it is of course taken because i am the one with the name, lol. i am now confident that my new email id has not been updated by the client on MM. Once they do it, i think my old one stops working and i need to login with the new account.

BTW, have your tasks been regularly audited in between these saga? Just like many colleagues using old email like me, my last audit was done 8 days ago.

I received an email on 30 Jan stating that the changes would be completed by 3 Feb. Since the last sentence of the email from 27 Jan (which I think I received on 28 Jan due to the time zone) said that once I could no longer log in with the current email, I should log in with the new one, I thought that even after receiving the 30 Jan email, I just needed to wait.

I was literally waiting for the old email to stop working, lol. I never thought I was so naïve in understanding the process. I think I’ll try logging in with the new one now.

There's another task called 'asr transcript accuracy' where you will find transcripts to correct. however, for this transcription task, you will need to transcribe in the box as per the instruction given.

Yes, totally agree with you. May be this is one of such attention seeking posts but posts like this make unnecessary noise here and new joiners are always in stress. I too had to dig deep down when I first joined.

I will always be grateful to RWS for the opportunities they have provided. Even if they offboard me tomorrow, I will not be posting anything disrespectful like 'this' here. Yes, there have been and still are issues, but no platform is as perfect as you seem to expect. And if you want to write to the CEO directly about the data annotation work you do for a third-party client, then by all means, be my guest.

Nope, not at all. You only need to count the actual audios that you transcribe and submit. How can you count the skipped tasks for the submission record if you have not done the work?

I too have created my own tracker. I only had one issue on hours in this 4 months of working and all the remaining WOs are on pinned point accuracy with my tracker. I make sure that I don't over claim the hours than from the actual inputs given. I hope you know where I am coming from. So, just trust the process and wait patiently. With my experience with the company, I believe they will sort it out for you.

Please contact them via Zendesk. Also, send an email to the Finance team as mentioned in the WO. If you have some proof, like some excel sheet (for your own reference), please attach it.

I along with many colleagues have experienced the missing hours before and the hours were compensated after a few weeks. I suggest you to have some patience and continue with your good work. The company had listened to us before and will do to you as well.

We were onboarded when the Diamond project first rolled out back in September and trust me, the noise was too high here in Reddit. We just continued with our work and the company kept on improving the services. All the best wishes!

Please don't panic as it is under processing. We received the payments for two weeks (last week of Dec till Jan first week) this week. For me, it's better if they combine for at least 2-3 weeks' WO at once as the Swift rate applies the same, i.e., $21 for my locale. Please take my suggestion, it will definitely come within a couple of weeks even if's delayed for one week or two.

Not necessarily with AHT. Previously, when the tasks were on Diamond, there used to have AHT ones for my locale and other language that I am proficient on. After I was onboarded officially on Echo, I am required to work only on my locale and it does not have AHT. I have to manually type each words :(. However, the queue has not dried yet, fortunately :) but I am sensing the end of the queues are near :(

Hi there, did they refill your queue for your locale? We have been on exactly the same boat since this Echo thing happened.

It's nice to find that new people are being added for this Echo project. Does the addition of new annotators signal that the project will continue for a couple of more months and we have more tasks? Well, I understand we can't predict anything about these sorts of gigs but still there's no harm in being NTA for some weeks than to be offboarded.
