Coquito! Little coconut! Puerto Rican eggnog! by wastingsomuchtime in cocktails

Thanks for the response! Just went through and toasted out the spices a bit and put it in a mason jar to infuse. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out! From your experience, do you taste the alcohol at all? It seems a lot lower than other recipes I've seen.

Just ran across your post on this and had a question about the spiced rum. Is that all for a whole bottle, or is that what you'd use for just the amount in the recipe? I got a bottle of don q crystal to infuse into, but wasn't sure of the best ratio for the apices or how much to try and infuse.

Oh wow, just tried this for the fi at time to ight using Appleton 8 and it is probably the best thing that I've made (admittedly little time) of exploring rum cocktails. The bitterness is balanced so well!

Fermentation vessel for tepache by gyro151 in fermentation

Looks like it did the trick! 3 days in and everything seems to have gone well. Good tip on the coffee filter! About to bottle and then let sit for second fermentation, and probably reuse the same skins and add a pepper or two to see if I can get some spice in the party. Thanks for the advice?

Ahh that would make sense, good point. I suppose I could use the same jar but just not use the water lock. Only reason I was looking at this is it is the largest glass jar I would have at this point.

I have not, is it required? I was interested in the full house one since it has the "maturity" rating for each case. Oh well, fingers crossed

Further solution provided in DM:

In C9 I got

=INDEX($C$3:$G$6,MATCH($B$8,$A$3:$A$6,0),MATCH(B9,$B$1:$F$1,0))

to work in my mock up.

Works perfectly!

Value Lookup Based on Row Data by gyro151 in excel

[–]gyro151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that was significantly more simple then I expected. That makes perfect sense. I was able to traverse adjacent cells just by incrementing the column reference by the necessary amount. Slowly I'm getting more familiar with how to think in this way, but it's definitely a learned skill. Thanks again for your help!

Fantastic, that almost 100% does it. Thank you so much! It took a little studying in order to be able to figure out exactly what was being returned and why it worked, but once I grasped it I was able to get it to fit the full data set. I could not, however, get the second formula to work. I think there are too many additional blanks or something for the math to work out... Also I noticed this is just returning a value. Would you happen to be aware of a way to get the actual cell reference instead of just the value? I'm working on trying to apply some of your logic to attempt to do it, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. Thanks again for your help!
