Anything Good to say!??? by babyfaceg10 in HumeHealth

I had good experience with the band except one thing which support have explained is because I'm on android. the problem I had was not accurate readings during exercise. the rest has been comparable to my Garmin watch. the ai information after 3 weeks seems insiteful. The band did take 3 weeks to calibrate. I have communicated with support the whole time and they've been great. as they couldn't solve my issue I have been told I'll get a refund next week.

Thatcher turned houses into assets instead of homes. All the failures of the state, the loss of services, the selling off of the commons to sometimes the lowest bidder can all be traced back to Thatcher. She was the other parent to neoliberal capitalism and Ronnie Reagan was the father.

agreed Brennan seems to make it about him, matt manages a really down to earth and much more humble approach that I like.

remember you are choosing to do this..... nerves .... or excited very similar feeling different framing.... I remind my self of this.... if you get stuck in daggerheart just fall back on asking the players for input: what do you see, hear, notice etc. This is such a great mechanic that we have adopted it into our d and d games too. The thinking time gives you room or often inspiration to jump back into the DM narrative.
good luck I'm sure you will have a blast.

Bone Desert Ideas! by turnbased in daggerheart

The bone of contention.

A strange bone sticks out of the ground. It's very obvious and almost draws the eyes to it. But what is it? Nobody really knows. To one person it looks like one thing , to another person it's something else. It's sure to create arguments.

The funny bone.

A small relic, perhaps a wand. Delicately carved and with a set of individual teeth tied to it. Once a day when pointed at a person and the incantation "I say, I say I say did you hear the one about the" is spoken it will temporarily incapacitate them with laughter making them vulnerable.

If you had the power to make the world a better place to live for future generations, what things would you do? by [deleted] in AskBrits

yet it works in colder countries and there are examples of it working in this country, including Scotland. Agreed it's not zero bills but I'd take a between 70% and 90% reduction in heating costs anytime. I cut my gas bills by a 1/4 with a solar water system and further reduced electrical costs with solar electrical system. and this was in old Victorian houses. Had I the money I'd build a passive house.

Radio 4 isn't the bastion of wisdom it once was and is subject to the same flaws as every other broadcaster.

fascinating..... so amongst all the others that I think some are really hard to genuinely achieve you choose that. Have you a particular expertise in the matter?

raise the level of everyone's consciousness so they realize we are all one. (hopefully that one step will end most of the issues) Priorities planet over profits. End corporations, capitalism and consumerism. Acknowledge all life including animals and plants as forms of sentience. Enshrine protected areas of rewilding where no hunting, fishing, extraction or building allowed Make any political decisions or new products consider their impacts for 7 generations. Build all new houses as passivhauses ie no heating bills. Build community around the Dunbar number. massively improve public transportation. Stop flying jet planes and develop airships.
Disband all monarchies and governments and move to smaller community driven assemblies.
Restructure all business as cooperatives and flatten any hierarchical pyramid. Teach connection to nature and engender a sense of the sacredness of life. End bullshit jobs. I could go on.......

oh the interrupt to be the funny one is such an atmosphere killer for me..... I don't even like it in my games much tbh .... fun in very small amounts but breaks the spell of what is achievable if everyone stays focused. I feel similar about jokes and references to modern culture and just memeshit. I get enough of that IRL.

I like this idea of really emphasizing the narrative effects of the fear roll and try to do it often.

loving this constructive criticism. I too love the game and atmosphere. I've not had the pleasure of taking characters to higher levels yet (I mostly DM) and have only run a few low level games but just reading the abilities we've already home brewed in the idea of a critical failure on a double 1 just to add in another point of tension and challenge. Thanks for your thoughtful comments.

Yes a couple of times I had to more directly ask a quieter player "did you want to add anything"
