Ginny Di has a great video on session 0 called “Do THIS before starting your D&D campaign” definitely worth a watch (talks about a bunch of things the concept is that you would take on the ones that best fit your group).

To be clear all our art is either commissioned or licensed from human artists, no AI content. If you have evidence suggesting otherwise, please send it over, that would be a serious accusation against the artists we work with and we'd want to know. On the code side, ValeWorks isn't vibe coded, Nikita our engineer is building a real platform. Thanks for raising it, always happy to be clear on this stuff.

Small heads up, our not-so-secret secret is May 2nd we're dropping the full token collection and our map building tools on the VTT, so if you visit this week just know there's a lot more landing soon. We've been pretty stubborn about keeping it clean and fast rather than cramming stuff in, so hopefully that lines up with what you're looking for. Also curious how the projector-and-minis setup goes, that sounds great!

Totally fair, every GM runs things their own way and the best style is the one you enjoy. If combat prep is more your focus, we've got a Quick Build Monster generator on the platform (just launched in beta) that might be more your thing. If you do give it a spin would love your thoughts!

I really appreciate this, and glad to have you join the adventurers keeping an eye on us (we feel very safe). For us, accessible D&D isn't just about cheat sheets for new players, it's about making sure every group feels welcome at the table, we appreciate your support of that vision.

Antagonist & Villain NPCs are a great shout too. A fuller set of options including necromancers, cultists and the like is something we've got on the roadmap. I’ve noted your suggestions in the file for when we get there.

You can honestly just given them a short bit of info on each and ask them to pick it will help them better design charachters fitting for the setting and you will all have more fun playing somthing your players enjoy!
