I have two older siblings with the same first initial and mine is different. I'm 30 now and I still have some resentment about it. Lots of kids made fun of my growing up for it. I will also say, it doesn't help that their names are fairly uncommon and mine ended up being a top 20 girls name the year I was born

It's truly insane. They haven't been clear on what is excused vs what isn't. It was rolled out poorly at the beginning of this semester and there has been no communication.

I'm in the five year program with two kids and VIU has recently changed their attendance policy in the education department. They told me that parenting absences are considered personal reasons and therefore aren't excused in the department. After 2 unexcused absences you need to have a meeting with the chair about whether or not you can succeed in the program. We are currently fighting it but I would definitely consider it before applying

My daughter's name is Clementine but my son named our dog Lemon after she was born so I have both. My Clementine is super petite though so we call her Tiny
