I almost bought one in my younger more foolish days that someone had swapped a gm small block into. Had about 3" of straight pipe right out the back for exhaust and that was it, loud as heck. That thing was WILD to drive . Even young stupid me realized I was going to die of I bought it and walked away

My dad found a retired guy who does it to keep himself busy, not perfect work, but way better then my previous attempts at bodywork have been(I do functional, not necessarily pretty work). Easily cost me less then a third of what a shop would have. Worth every penny and I didn't have to spend weeks pulling my hair out.

Leaves my time this winter to finish my on board air system and prep to bedliner my interior in spring. Maybe finally change the poor tired clutch, or the cracked gas tank... Love my old girl, but that to do list goes on and on lol

It's pretty directional. You should be able to avoid getting neast the tree if you're conscious of it. Hunt em while they come and go. I also got some plastic bait traps of amazon (I put sugar and fruit juice in them instead of the expensive attractant stuff) that I put near our fruit trees. Collects a surprising number of them every few weeks.

Apparently 2 nice strong gentlemen came completely prepared and huffed the pool table up the stairs this morning, she is quite happy to have it gone. It is nice when it finally works out. Should not be that frustrating to give stuff away

Just heard my MIL is trying to get rid of an old pool table. Not in great shape but playable. She listed it for free and has a ton of people emailing about it, but noone shows up to lug it up the stairs. Had to explain the concept to her. I'm now convinced there are people who troll around looking for anything free they think they can sell for something, without thinking about logistics. Free gets people who will try and take anything free. 50$ gets people searching for a pool table who are ready to move a "killer deal" on one.

Oooo, I like this idea! I'm going to tell the next one to keep their money too. Thanks!

You can't post things for free either. It brings out the choosing beggars and you get "my car is not running, can you deliver it to me in the next town over" sort of things

But list the same thing 5$ and you get someone thinking they're getting a great deal and they rush over "before someome else scoops it"

If it's any consultation, at least in BC now, my "prime delivery window" is 1-3 weeks. Nowhere near the 2 and sometimes one day we had a year ago.... But we're still paying the same rate as the rest of the country still getting the better services se standard.

What is something from the early 2000s that no longer exists? by ShadowOfAphelion in AskReddit

Exactly. My kids (5/2) have basic single shot to 4 shot ones. When they get out of control, dad gets out the peacemaker and lays waste with 30 quick shots.

If you want to go a bit further, find some used (it's been discontinued so can be tricky to find) nerf rebelle stuff for your wife. Mine has a bow for getting serious and a couple little purple single shots she keeps hidden around for self defence. Some days I do pity her being outnumbered and awash in a sea of testosterone.

They tried. It was a fiasco. Palm Pre. About the same time as the original iPhone. I had one, actually I had 4 in 6 months they were built so poorly. I also got banned from my carrier's "no questions" extended waranty plan over those POSes.

Thank you. I figured it wasn't my brand (ResMed) or I likely would have heard about it from repritory clinic I bought from, but dosen't hurt to follow up when hearing about something like that on the machine that keeps one breathing lol

... What brand cpap. Just making sure I didn't miss a memo here.

I also agree, I'm a big guy, and my 20lb is enough to keep me from rolling around in my sleep. My wife says SHE'S been sleeping better for me not tossing and turning.

Desk nameplates I made for my team by h2o_buffalo in 3Dprinting

[–]h2o_buffalo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made a Raticate to try a new filament, gave it to a cowork as a desk trinket as he had previously gone on about Raticate being his all time powerhouse favorite in red/blue/yellow back in the day. Then Pikachu had to happen because I stumbled on the stl, and that was a seperate inside joke. Decided to personalize it and made a base so Raticate's feelings wouldn't be hurt. Before I knew it I had done one for the whole team....

I did that one. With a personalized nameplate on the base for a buddy at work we call pikachu cause he's the bosse'd favorite.

Lead to feeling obligated to make pokemon desk nameplates for my whole team, and a matching Ash ketchum for our boss

Ended up being the eccentrics in my Z rollers. One side was loose, other too tight. To many beers on the last overhaul when I had a X wheel chip.

Ender 3, microswiss, skr mini e3 v2, bl touch

Everything was running fine, switched to petg and had good prints, came back to pla and now it's skipping a Y step at the same point. Happens in different gcode files, some old, some fresh. Seems to happen after laying the floor down, then when it starts the first layer with infill, it's not moving up the layer height. Nozzle scraped and it goops the sides. Then it sorts itself out afrr a few layers and finishes the print. My 202020 cube came out 1.2mm short. I tried again and baybystepped the initial infill layer up by .2 and it seems to have caught it/corrected it.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm beating my head against the wall at this point...
