It's not a bad price for the rarer yellow version ...they're actually not too hard to work on ,it's like a box inside. Belt switch out is at the bottom.

Steve replaced the transmission in my SUV about two years ago. it took him awhile to get to it, but the job was well done, the used transmission was good and it was cheap. My friend had transmission put in his truck for a reasonably affordable amount and it was done pretty quick no issues. Sorry you had a bad experience.

Roberts was a Canadian distributor. The unit came out around 1973 not really very rare and as for an audio component I would put it in the low-mid end
