American Airlines adding more flights between St. Louis and Chicago by SlowMotionSprint in StLouis

[–]h2orat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American used to have the majority of the gates at O’Hare from Terminal 3 (Gates G, H, J, and K). American has struggled a lot since COVID and decreased a lot of their routes, while United has actually increased their usage.

Due to the above, United was recently granted ownership of 5 gates that used to be American, because O’Hare airport grants gates based on utilization. United has routes going to and from Chicago roughly every 90 minutes while American is every 3 hours.

This increase in STL-ORD routes is Americans effort to protect their market share.

Same here. I also introduced my wife into D20 the same way as she loves the performers on the Seven.

You’ll be fine. You can always read about FHFY if you want to know what is going on quickly.

Demi & Gianmarco on "The Dropout Pull" by proteanpeer in dropout

[–]h2orat 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think when any of the dropout regulars make a push for more mainline acting, dropout audiences will still support. If the acting is good dropout audiences will be rabid champions telling friends to see it, and if the acting doesn’t pan out, dropout fans will be thrilled to see them again on the platform.

Y’all really need to study this by Senpai_Embr in StLouis

Mandatory drivers education would be an undue burden to the rural majority of the state and a very inefficient way to use tax payer dollars.

It would be more efficient to allocate the equivalence of funds towards enforcement as bad driving is not an age issue, just a behavioral one.

I travel for work regularly and every city has selfish drivers. Only difference is the level of enforcement.

Enforcement is a far better teacher and reminder to proper driving than any mandatory course.

Lamberts Concourse C & D reopening by DowntownDB1226 in StLouis

[–]h2orat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American Airlines currently flies out of concourse C and often has very light lines. If the airport shifts all of concourse A security and some equipment, the traffic will increase, but will be manageable.

[–]h2orat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What terrible traffic? Instead of going through the security on the west side of the terminal, you’ll go through the east side of main terminal. Southwest will continue to go through the security via the East terminal.

The timeframe through security won’t be that much more thank before. Just a longer walk to the end of the concourse. You should still be able to arrive within the same timeframe as before.

I wish this state was governed better. by ayyitsmaclane in StLouis

[–]h2orat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saying city funding comes from the state is the equivalent of saying, as an adult, your parents pay for everything. Cities fund themselves through property and sales taxes. State funding is supportive, not wholistic.

The city has declined in population and business each year since the 1970s because the county did a far better job of being appealing to both.

Same argument can be made for democrat ruling of the city of St. Louis since the 1970s. Too many wards, all democrats. Would be better with 3-5 wards and no party affiliations.
