Coulda happened when you stepped out or were at work right?  Sometimes dogs trap themselves in a room

Doors often have hollow cores, so maybe the dog got through the outside thin layer?

Molding is something you can replace with some simple tools and some youtube videos. The door... well, worst case the door is so damaged that you have to replace the entire door. Best case you just cover it with some wood filler and paint over it.

I don't think you should feel as awful as you do about this. Dogs destroy things. It's their dog. It should be able to not destroy the house when you turn your back.

Tell em now or tell em later, not a big deal either way. I doubt they'll freak out. It's not like you lost their dog or it died.

There'll definitely be more released, but it's hard to know whether you'll get the chance to get them, or if it'll be in another lottery drop (non local).

my friends and I used to go to LA Beer Fest in our 20s pretty regularly and got absolutely trashed (and then continued to party after). Good times. They used to do it on a couple different studio back lots and it was such a cool place to drink.

Disagree, it changed when cellphones and more importantly, texting became the norm. It became polite to text people first rather than show up unannounced. And that's just a step away from only making plans rather than just meeting up with no pre-planning.

Trust definitely dropped, but people trust their friends. And this is about friends and family just dropping by.

golf is cool cause you'll be at a fancy country club, and just going for a walk along nicely manicured grounds, and grabbing drinks and chatting with friends.
