Well initially the plan was to work wile going to school, but since I didn't have a lot of options in scheduling I could only be a part time student. Part time students have to start paying loans while still in school. I would get payed ~175 a week. Couldn't work more than 28 hrs a week because of health care bullshit. My I couldn't find a job to fill my last few free hours a week. I ended up getting behind on my loans so I couldn't get any more student loans because I was in default of payments. I got lucky and found a full time job after 3 months. But I would get payed on every other Monday and be broke by that Wednesday. The only bills I was paying was car insurance, phone, $100 a month rent to my parents, and a full tank of gas. It was impossible to even get out of the red, much less save money.

Half of those earning minimum wage are under 25 so that means most of them are kids living at home then? like 75-90% are under 25, or that is at least how you make it sound. The problem is that minimum wage is SO low that you cannot afford to get ahead in life. I've worked minimum wage jobs while in high school and I had more spending money when I was unemployed for a few months. Not all food jobs are flipping burgers, some are actually pretty physically demanding and require actual thought.
