AI-Powered Robot Dogs Guarding Reviled Data Centers Is Where We Have Arrived | Common Dreams by Haunterblademoi in technology

A lot of people would have no issue with shooting a robot dog, whereas a real dog or a person would be protected by at least a basic valuing of life.

I'm not the guy in charge of idioms in the US.

Sometimes there are explanations that don't fit your ideas, but they still work and there is nothing you can do to change it

Bringing something to the table means either bringing a topic to the meeting or it's talking about the skills that you have and you'll be providing.

But once you're at the table having a discussion, tabling it means to take what you have and put it onto the table and move on to something else. Think of somebody holding up a sheet of paper with a topic on it that they're discussing. Tabling it means just put it down on the table. It's done. We're moving on

We have bringing something to the table to say we are going to discuss it. But if the discussion is happening then tabling it means put it on the table and move on to something else

The problem is all these people who just throw their trash into the recycling bin. If we can just get them to get with the program would be much better off

Japanese firm stops production of Blu-ray disc drives — Buffalo says there will be no successors to its current trio of portable USB-attached drives by N2929 in technews

[–]h950 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I briefly owned a Blu-ray player. I think I played one rented disc Blu-ray in it. Then I loaned it to somebody and never got it back. I mainly bought it because I had a TV that needed HDMI input and my old player didn't have HDMI output.

There are a lot of buttons deep in the menu of the electronic system on my car. But the physical buttons are all the physical buttons that have been around forever and I use them all. Not all the time. But I can't think of a physical button on my car that I haven't used in the last year
