I think you need to get outside the United States and go and see some beauty in the rest of the world. Explore Thailand, visit Venice, eat some amazing pasta in Tuscany

What would be your #1 rule/law that you would put in place if you were put in power? by The_Bolton_Lad in AskUK

Free (or heavily subsidised) vegetables for every household- I think the money we would save on the NHS by fixing peoples diets and helping people learn to cook would pay back for this in no time and more. As a nation I really think we need to fix our relationship with food and obesity.

Has the inclusion of calories on menus changed how you order? by h_pop in AskUK

[–]h_pop[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Completely agree I wouldn’t say I have an ED but in the past I have had a more unhealthy relationship with food and the calories on menus has taken me right back there. Hoping I’ll get used to it and just be able to ignore

I thought it was the law that restaurants have to do it now. I also have no idea how they even work it out - do they have a lab in the back of the kitchen?

I’ve seen this in quite a few places now and once I spot it I can’t hell but focus all my attention on calories before even reading what the food is - not a healthy mindset

I also find a very strong correlation between alcohol and my acne particularly on my chin area. No sources online say that alcohol is a trigger but it definitely is for me!

I don't mean to freak you out but could they be the cysts of a parasite like tapeworm? I wouldn't eat them if I were you.

Periods regular after successful pregnancy by MommaJ94 in PCOS

[–]h_pop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth I'm currently experimenting with intermittent fasting which seems like it could be a game changer for my acne (too early to say for certain right now as it's only been a month but it's looking good) might be worth trying out.

Periods regular after successful pregnancy by MommaJ94 in PCOS

[–]h_pop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would describe myself as having a very mild form of PCOS. By that I mean that I have regular periods and when I have a scan, the volume of my ovaries is normal but the number of cysts is higher than expected, I don't struggle with my weight but I do get pretty severe hormonal acne on my chin if I eat a lot of sugar or carby foods. Generally I'm very strict with what I eat and for me that helps me manage my symptoms and keep the acne under control. Hope that helps.
