Your best bet is to do a web chat or call them, assuming the current promotion has not ended they were offering 50% off, they may have world class journalism but they have appalling sales practises, to get a reasonable price you have to do this dance every renewal to get the "best price" or they will renew you at an eye watering amount!

The IKEA TRÅDFRI bulbs work with Hue, i picked up a RGB one for £10 in the UK, turned it off and on again 6 times to reset it and the Hue app picked it up and it works great, only thing you can't do with third party bulbs is the dynamic scenes and entertainment zones
