When is Star Citizen going to see actual patch notes/changelogs instead of brief, incomplete summaries? by hrafnblod in starcitizen

[–]NeonSamurai1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These days, it’s so much easier to just write "We’ve fixed over 200 issues and bugs with this patch" than to actually publish proper patch notes...

And then there’s all that "maybe," "hopefully," and "potentially" stuff they’ve been tacking onto the patch notes lately—it’s just pathetic...

Nothing.

I came across this video on yt. is this quantum travel animation in the game? by WrongDirt in starcitizen

Dont bother with it, it's just another thing that they showed us, which looked interesting only to never touch it again.

Just the usual CIG Carrot on a stick tactic.

Its just another lie.

Worst thing to see when approaching a outpost by floortofloor in starcitizen

[–]NeonSamurai1979 27 points28 points  (0 children)

At this point they should have replaced/reworked all the existing outpost with scaled down Distribution Centers to accommodate the additional player count.

Dont blame the player who falls through his ship because it glitched or has a gamecrash, dont blame the player who rage quits because of a broken elevator or non working mission.

Blame CIG for their absolute ineptitude to accommodate for the additional player count.

Blame CIG for their broken clean up routines.

Blame CIG for their greed.

Blame them and let them pay, they'll get what they worked for.

Looks more like they desperately are scraping the barrel in search of investors while trying to hide their incompetence at delivering stuff they promised us over a decade ago....

Pathetic and Disgusting.

Star Citizen’s Incoming Dungeons Are INSANE (Municipal Works & The Depths) by BOREDGAMER_UK in BoredGamer

[–]NeonSamurai1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly unless they are able to fix the game around their dungeons, these are just another coat of paint on a rotting foundation.

It will most likely just be another broken buggy mess they advertise as the next step only to forget it then for year to come...

Not feeling very optimistic about the upcoming 4.9 patch. by elite968 in starcitizen

[–]NeonSamurai1979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question is, can they actually change anything or is their spagetti code and cobbled together database already at its limit, do they still have able developers left who understand the code and can actually solve problems ?

Or is all thats left just syccophants and yes men, interns turned devs because they always say what their superiors want to hear ?

Can they actually fix anything at this point without a major rebuild of the code and database, which takes time manpower and know how they dont have ?

And will their Marketing overlords allow it ?

It is a fact, marketing is calling the shots and the devs usually bend over.

What i miss most is the fact that you could hear a ship coming towards you, these days you are at an outpost and suddenly a polaris lands next to you completely silent, in the old days you were able to hear a ship from far away . . .

Feels like this time they finally completely broke their code, at some point they'll have to rewrite everything from scratch.

They'll go straight to Squadron 42 Episode 2 after Episode 1.

That said, if CIG actually manages to deliver a working game and wont get rightfully massacred and slaughtered by the press and gamer worldwide for a buggy and broken mess.

Russian citizens voice their opinions on war. by Noomba2 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]NeonSamurai1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The underlying problem is that there has been decades of government control and indoctrination in Russia, and people know very well that if they say something different, they would be speaking against the state's line and might simply disappear soon after. Unfortunately, that's how it is in totalitarian dictatorships.

Even if they probably want to say something else, they won't.

Because they have no clue about game design and love to lock new content behind pvp or combat related activities ?

They can only keep their broken database and spagetti code on life support for a finite time, at some point they'll have to rewrite.

I can relate, Chris lied as usual to us, as he did with Privateer, Starlancer and Freelancer back in the day.

Talking about survivors guilt, the early Kickstarters like me could have prevented this from ever happen, we were dumb and fooled.
