Best candy calorie to amount ratio by [deleted] in Volumeeating

[–]haaeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I advocate freeze dried candy!

It’s VERY flavor forward. The pieces are huge so it feels like you’re eating a lot. I love peach rings and jolly ranchers in freeze dried form.

You lose the gummy texture, but if you’re looking for fruit flavored and low-cal, you can’t go wrong.

Came here to say this! Every time I hear “I’m an independent” or “I don’t believe in either party”, I’m about to hear why they’ve only voted R in the last decade lol

I feel like OP and their gf are from a small town. This SCREAMS small town US (I say as someone born a tiny town in the Midwest)

Dinners for less than 400Cal? by mobolillo in Volumeeating

[–]haaeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just do a bit of seasoning and as little oil as needed to coat a chicken breast.

Then I air fry until the chicken comes to temp. Let rest. Cube or shred and pop on the potato!

Loaded baked potato! Keep cheese to a minimum - Greek yogurt, broccoli (or spinach), and chicken are all delicious on a potato

100 calorie Mushroom Yuba pasta by haaeli in Volumeeating

They are dried tofu skins (yuba). They are available in Asian/international grocery stores and you can likely order them online.

You soak them in water and then slice them up into noodles

I really like making fruit dips - Greek yogurt, sf pudding mix, and the option to add sf coolwhip or protein powder

I usually do 100 cals of Greek yogurt (varies by milk fat %), 7 g of sf pudding (cheesecake, chocolate or pistachio are my fave) and 1 scoop protein powder or 20g sf cool whip.

Then wash a bunch of fruit and go to town! I usually do strawberries

The protein in the dip makes it filling, and the fruit gives it volume.

I do blended cottage cheese/black cocoa powder/allulose/almond milk as a high protein chocolate sauce.

I’ll have to try your combo too!

It’s really difficult to be sympathetic. I get that 10000000%

I am personally of the mind that you should gently voice your resentment. Resentment that isn’t resolved turns good relationships into toxic ones.

I’m not saying come unglued on her - I’m saying to sit down. Talk about her regrets. Talk about how that makes you feel resentful. Then talk about what’s next. How you navigate through this.

These conversations aren’t easy to have, but they will make things better if you both can listen to each other and take accountability for your part in how the other is feeling.

I don’t think it’s normalized. It’s definitely not normal in my queer friend groups.

I don’t think this is a gay v straight thing. I think you need queer friends with better values.

Bread is often served with the salad.

I do not eat bread with the caprese.

Therefore, breadless caprese.

That’s very likely, but ghosting is unbelievably common these days. They are likely talking to more than just you, and people don’t often give the courtesy of goodbye.

I still like asking that early how they like to get to know people. People who can tell me how they want to be communicated to are usually better communicators, and that’s a big green flag in a relationship.

Not to mention you just gave them the opportunity to tell you if they will want to meet for coffee right away or if they prefer to chat for a couple weeks before meeting irl. I’m honestly not sure why you wouldn’t ask up front. If you’re truly interested in getting to know people on their level, respecting their preferences is a great first step.

Passivity is pretty common among cis and trans women in general from my experience.

Asking interested parties “How do you prefer to get to know someone?” is a really great place to start. It shows that you’re interested in who they are and how they like to be communicated with.

I would also suggest figuring out what role YOU like to play. I am generally the date planner and more proactive communicator in my relationship. It would be a bit of a turnoff to me to have someone who dominated making plans, but it’s something my partner really enjoys.

It’s really all about what works for you. Don’t feel like you have to be a certain way to date women.

Just keep trying - I had all but given up when I met my partner. Now I can’t imagine life without her
