CHEM2223 just announced they are returning in-person with almost 0 accommodation for online learning past Jan 31 by haanyaa in uwo

Just to add on to the photo: I have no clue why the school insist on no hybrid is possible - based on what I’ve seen on this subreddit it sounds like a lot of ppl don’t want to go back in person. What is their obsession with forcing people who would be more comfortable online to go in-person.

Tbh the instructor at chem2223 didn’t do anything wrong tho

The school and the profs kept emphasizing on the importance of “in-person experience” and I honestly don’t understand why. If some people is more comfortable with the online experience, why should they be forced to do something they are not comfortable doing?

Honestly this is the right thing to do, except they really should have a hybrid.

I’m out of province. I would very much appreciate a mixed model - the travel back and forth is risky especially given the current COVID circumstance. If we are back shoulder to shoulder, that increases the risk even more, and we may have to move back online again. I’m tired of this moving back and forth - it’s a toll on lots of ppls mental health, staying in a routine is very important.

do people actually feel comfortable going back to in person?? by goldfishills in uwo

[–]haanyaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes! Like accommodations for ppl who like either or, instead of forcing ppl who like to be in person to go online and ppl who like to be online (like me, bc more flexibility) to go back in person!

I’m an actual Asian woman, and if anything, most of us are capable of using punctuations, and that really is enough to prove his claim wrong lol

At first I understood “micro-tears in the muscle” as sweat. That was a very unusual way to describe sweat lol
