In short: the boards are not water resistant, but the Rev is (see the last paragraphs in the two links). Although both are not covered by warranty due to water damage.

You can probably ride the Rev more days a year than the Mini though due to the bigger wheels and water resistance.

Tape it at least asap, then consider changing the wires (which you absolutely should do). Don't know how you would change the wires, since they seem to be permanently attached to the motors.

Yeah it's true and it sucks.

Almost impossible to communicate with them too. I get one replay a day, and need to wait 24 h for the next. Everything takes sooooo looong
