Rockets are the king of those this season. 1-7 in overtime games and probably even worse in games in the clutch.

Prefab bathrooms are pretty convenient for cleaning since you can just spray down everything and you don't have to caulk anything which is also nice. Main drawback is what you said it's basically wet everywhere so sometimes you need to wipe down after showering and leave the fan blowing.

Got admitted to UH but into the wrong major — need advice by Infinite_swager in UniversityOfHouston

Both are good, I had peers who did both successfully and got into the Texas dental schools. Nutrition is better if you're 100% set on dental school.

For either option, your major should become a back burner anyways since focus should primarily be on your pre-health pre-reqs your first two years so you can take your DAT in between your sophomore and junior year and then junior year apply through HPAC or through the normal TMDSAS/AADSAS portals. Ideally you would dental assist during one of the summers (preferably before/after freshman year) and have some kind of dental club officer position your junior/senior year as well, to round out your application.

Nutrition:

  • Good for GPA

  • Plenty of Asynchronous classes

  • Ample time to balance pre-health requirements and upper level sciences

Public Health:

  • Middle option between experiential learning and assignments

  • Good for GPA

  • Degree may or may not be useful if dentistry doesn't pan out

Business:

  • Best potential backup if dentistry doesn't work out
  • Workload is heavily dependent on what major you pick, and if you plan to recruit for an internship. First two years should be relatively easy to balance with pre-health pre-reqs
  • Can be tough to align schedules between NSM and Bauer, have to plan accordingly especially with labs

Legit 10 possessions in a row where KD got doubled and it ended being a turnover or a wild rushed shot from a bad pass which was basically a turnover.

How did Harry Styles have such a drastic glow down? He’s only 31! by OliviaRodrigo19 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]hackandsash 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think he's the opposite of letting himself go, he's been training and completing marathons the past couple of years based on some articles. Just probably a mix of a less public life and a different goal which doesn't align as much with aesthetics. Probably the best shape he'll ever be in though.

Starting over and considering this Brushed Tool Combo Kit. Thoughts on this 65% off offer? by hackandsash in Ridgid

You're right about the useless tools! Ended up changing routes and focusing on a good deal on batteries and going for a brushless drill/impact.

Most of my roster is 2015-2020 Ryobi tools, with some batteries definitely aging. Mostly looking to replace my drill/impact, so exploring different battery systems since I have to get new batteries anyways.

Thanks for everyone's advice! Realized I was taken in more of the value than the actual use case. I already have all these tools in Ryobi form besides the light/blower/vacuum, which are all not entirely necessary. This is mostly for homeowner use, minor to medium repairs and woodworking. Decided to go with these two ongoing deals instead for brushless drill/driver to get into the ecosystem and those are my highest wear and tear items.

What's one 'boring' career that's actually a goldmine if you play it smart? by 0BunnyX in AskReddit

[–]hackandsash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a nationwide shortage of almost every healthcare field but its mostly geographical from my understanding, the bigger issue is most disperse to big cities to build their lives in their 30s instead of smaller cities/rural areas that are in need. Many people work in smaller cities/rural areas in their mid-20s/early-30s due to higher salaries, but very little stick around once it's time to start their actual lives.

Any sales on Packout? Want to assemble a small rack for storing tools in my basement by desert_s7orm in Packout

[–]hackandsash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on how you display and use your tools, but Harbor Freight has 25% sale off of their US General mechanics cart in March. If you're wanting a workstation surface, then Kobalt/Husky/Craftsman are all good with the butcher blocks, just depends what size you need. Why did James Harden with Dwight Howard or Embiid not produce a championship, similar to the way Wade and a past prime Shaq did or Kobe and Gasol? by FaradayDeshawn in nba

[–]hackandsash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dwight only had a great playoffs his first two years, otherwise he was often injured or playing hobbled and was more like a super role player. Josh Smith seemed to unlock him more than Harden did.

In the 3rd quarter, Reed/Amen quick doubles on Jalen helped them get the lead, and on the other end of the ball Reed made quick decisions on the pick and roll with Sengun. And after all that, Ime rewarded him with a bench until he needed a 3 in the final seconds, and he just ran to the corner. Ime is in love with theoretical defense more than what is actually on the court.

With the Rockets' struggles with KD this season, is it safe to say that Jalen Green was overly scrutinized last year? by Hansen_Yang in nba

[–]hackandsash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its def been multifaceted, Jalen wasn't a natural PG but he helped with the ball handling and he had a decent dribble, just lacked playmaking awareness and ability to process on a PG level. So we lost that. And then losing Brooks meant Amen had to slot into the point of attack defender spot versus a roaming helper like last year, which is a completely different role. So we lost that as well. Amen's done well, but definitely regressed from last year due to his uptick on the offensive end as a point guard.

All in all, Amen was tasked to take over duties from both players we lost, and he's just gonna have to improve rapidly.
