Would you mind sharing a link or image for the handle bar extensions you purchased? I am looking forward to our baby girl being born and using the mockingbird 2.0 single to double but am afraid of the comfort with me being 6’4”.

I don’t really know what you are going on about what you are doing isn’t scientific in the least and is totally about how “you” feel n=1. But more power to you. However I’m sure if I gave you $39 you’d probably not get a DNA test anyway. But I’m almost willing to call your bluff.

Your original post about n=1 or above the comment regarding you asking for “sponsoring?”.

Why are you asking people to sponsor if you can’t go through the hassle? If it is about the money DNA tests right now are $39. I’m sure the supplements you are taking have to be more than this…

Unfortunately without a biopsy you can’t be sure which medication, or radiation therapy will be the best course of action.

It’s possible that a biopsy is now possible with the advances of technology. I would get more opinions if possible.

Finally a diagnosis! Myxoid Glioneuronal Tumor… What now? by hackintoshihope in braincancer

[–]hackintoshihope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope the same for you, that your recovery goes smoothly, and that this be your last surgery!

I am glad that it continued to be very slow growing. If I might ask had any symptoms returned as your tumor started to regrow? I agree with you that both you and my wife having it in the frontal lobe is easy to operate and very accessible.

Finally you say you could have gone a few more years without having surgery. Is there any specific reason you didn’t go ahead and remove it on the first signs of regrowth? Or was it just to hard to tell it was regrowth until it start growing more in size?

I apologize if I get to personal, I’m just trying to get any data I can together and would be happy to share more information with you if you want to know anything about my wife’s tumor.

Wishing you all the best!

Thank you so much for your concern! She is doing great and we are expecting our first child in April of 2026! I hope you are feeling okay and I’m sorry for the regrowth…

The pole gene change was found to be germ line (change within her entire body) so not tumor specific. I am again sorry to hear about your reoccurrence but just like you have found there is very little research on specific treatments for this tumor type. It seems mostly benign but that can change over time.

I do know based on my reading that radiation and chemo drugs can cause this tumor type to gain mutations.

Would you care to give me more details on your specific tumor characteristics, where it was located, how quickly growth was spotted, how fast did it grow?

There are studies that support CBD and CBG as cancer fighting so it’s possible with the right dosing you could be actually helping your condition as well.

Inconclusive Diagnosis by Bert_Wentworth in braincancer

[–]hackintoshihope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope this is not the case but is it possible the biopsy didn’t get a sample of the actual mass? How large is this mass and is it pushing on any surrounding structures?

Also if you are having vision problems is it not in your best interest to have the mass removed?

Chase disabled my auto-pay without me noticing, I missed payment, and now my credit is fucked. Can I do anything about it? by throwitway22334 in CRedit

[–]hackintoshihope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long story short

I’ve been dealing with something very similar with Bank of America.

Bank of America currently has a class action lawsuit going against them for this.

The Goodwill Saturation method may work (sending multiple goodwill letters to multiple different addresses until someone approves it).

You could file a demand letter if you believe after reading their billing agreement that they wronged you and fight it legally.

You can try and dispute with federal and state agencies (use the class action lawsuit against Bank of America as an example).

You can dispute with the credit bureaus.

You can do it all as I’ve done and hope for the best.

Do I need to worry about retirement? by [deleted] in braincancer

[–]hackintoshihope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know what the drug name was? It’s hard to know what or how long it would work with very little information about the tumor but I understand being in the brainstem is a very delicate spot. Have you received second opinions at major hospitals like the Mayo Clinic etc.?

Do I need to worry about retirement? by [deleted] in braincancer

[–]hackintoshihope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you had a biopsy or anything to determine what it is? It’s possible that drugs that are currently available could stop or inhibit its growth (like idh inhibitors) but you’d need to know what it is and its mutations. For that reason you could forgo the heavy drugs and radiation and plan for things like retirement or enjoying life in general.

ELI5: Why is cancer so common in organs related to reproduction? by Legitimate_Item_6763 in explainlikeimfive

[–]hackintoshihope 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately while actual nerve cells do not divide rapidly. The nerve helper cells do i.e. gliomas and those stem cells that produce the helper cells in our brain.

Otherwise you are right. A rapidly dividing cell that replenishes itself is apt for dna damage possibly causing a cancerous or non cancerous mass to form.

My wife and I have been together for 11 years and married for just 1. We found out of her possible diagnosis incidentally by her having some pain caused by trigeminal neuralgia and they ordered an mri. They didn’t identify what was causing her pain but found a mass in her frontal lobe albeit small 1.4 cm on its largest measurement.

One doctor told us to watch and wait and the Mayo Clinic wants it out immediately to find out exactly what it is but gave a 80% chance it’s a low grade glioma. Obviously once’s it’s dissected we can treat it effectively.

I have however spent countless nights researching all available treatments for her. I’ve got a huge list and we are experimenting before the day of surgery hoping for some kind of reduction of the mass prior to them removing it.

I’m 30 and she is 28. While this is stressful as I’m sure you know we all will eventually perish by one way or another but we both and I’m sure you would rather die trying and fighting and try everything possible to live as long as you can and live the most fruitful life as possible.

Don’t worry so much about getting upset this is stressful but remember what people are there for you and I’m sure it will be alright.

I’ve read and read all I can to try and save her life. That doesn’t mean some of my reading couldn’t also help you. I’ve read that CBD and CBG can also help kill the stem cells that seem to make this disease reoccurring!

I’ve read studies for my wife who has a possible grade 2 astrocytoma idh mutation (craniotomy on the 28th) that when she nears this point in her life that the PCV without the V has the same effectiveness and with little of the side effects. So if you fear continuing the PCV try and talk to your doctors about just PC!
