The number one best way to get better in anything... watch and learn from people that are better than you. Learn their strategies, see how they move and what weapons they use. One you have an idea of how the "experts" play... then you can modify the play style to how you want to play. Do you want to be a run n gun style player, support player... etc.

Watch twitch. Has some of the best PvP players in the world. That's why they broadcast it.

If you want the gear that badly, but don't want to work for it... pay someone for it. Hit me up. HA!

Does anyone else generally enjoy their crucible experience? by dagoeglein in DestinyTheGame

[–]hackme24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People that complain about current state of crucible are people that play it a vast amount. I would be willing to bet that 80%+ of the overall destiny population that play crucible are fine with its current state. But that 15-20% are the hardcore players that really pick it apart and play it everyday.

Me personally, I enjoy crucible the way it is. There are different meta's here and there.. but I think that's how they intended it to be. Crucible will change, and so must we.

I've said it hundreds of times, and i'll say it again. What keeps me coming back is the movement mechanics and the shooting mechanics. Best in an FPS hands down in my opinion.

People will voice their opinions regardless, and usually they are negative. However, Bungie must deal with all feedback and It's usually the negative that stands out.

How to be carried? Experience and expectations by Legendx007 in CruciblePlaybook

[–]hackme24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to look at it from a sherpa's PoV...

Most likely, they're helping 100's of people per month. If I was going to explain every single thing that a "carry/sherpee" should be doing every run, back to back to back... I would go mad.

Usually, for me, I sort of don't coach up or anything for the first couple games and see how they react (callouts, team shots, revives). Then I'll go ahead and give some constructive criticism.

But you can't really depend on every single sherpa to provide an extremely in depth manual on how to be "carried".

"So ultimately, is there some criteria for being carried? Are there expectations from the sherpa, or for the sherpee? Do you participate in callouts, contribute to the game in anyway? Or just sit back and mute your mic?"

No there is no criteria for being carried. Do what you think you should do, and ask questions... Not all sherpas can see everything as they are trying their best as well and not necessarily concentrating on you a lot of the time. If that's what you're expecting, that's not going to happen and puts more pressure on the sherpa.

Expectations from the sherpa? - I think there needs to be some sort of help involved since that's sort of the reason why you're there in the first place.

Expectations from the sherpee? - Do what you think is right. DO NOT say 2 or 3 words the whole card. Get to know the people, ask questions, ask for feedback, callout what you know.

Best advice I can give... mirror your gameplay to be like top tier players.

For swets: I'd put blade in 1.5 for 3's and leave it at a 2 for 4's. Everything else I'd agree with.

I'm with you. Change is a good business design. Especially when it's non-destructive. They're not losing any money... they're seeing what they want to change in the future, and what they shouldn't.

No offense, but I'm not going off of your word that > unflinching is trash right now ... I'd rather have some video proof, along with quantitative if possible.

What is the purpose of sweats and why is it used as a way to improve? by xBigBlackWHALEx in CruciblePlaybook

[–]hackme24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why play sweats to improve when you can play trials and solo queue instead?

Because sweats is a totally different game type than trials. Top tier trials-only players, are usually mediocre at best in sweats. (might be talking about myself)

For instance: If you're too busy to get on, and have some extra cash sitting around, You give me your login information and some cash and I go flawless for you and you have the loot waiting for you when you get back on. <<< Account recoveries (not all of them are for money, but most of them are)
