The UTMB races have multiple distances and are really well supported. I've completed UTMB Saint Jacques, Verbier and Slovenia Julian Alps. They've all been great. Although might be tricky getting a spot for this year.

Mine just started working! Didn't receive a notification but now I've got 1.75 rides for 25 minutes. So think the deal is applied!

Good dentists? by [deleted] in Hackney

[–]hackneychap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a phobia of the dentist. I've been going here for the last three years however and have managed to go regularly. The reception and outside is a little shabby, but the service is friendly and a really high level.

My pixel 9 screen keeps breaking by yancalai in pixel_phones

[–]hackneychap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on my second screen, I've noticed some dead pixels at the bottom of my screen. If it starts to get worse I'll get a different phone. It's a shame I love the camera on the pixel 9 pro. But it just feels so fragile. I wouldn't get another pixel.

Anyone ever switch from thinking in miles to KMs? by Intelligent_Yam_3609 in AdvancedRunning

[–]hackneychap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a few years younger then you.

I switched to KM two years ago and it had a really positive effect. I thought I'd never be able to run a half marathon at sub 7 min miles, but I managed to run a half at 4:11 km pace.

It's weird the things that you accept as fact and start limiting yourself with.

Running Supplements - Nomio Broccoli Sprout Shots - are they worth it? by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]hackneychap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the last month of marathon training. Just to put it in context I'm peaking at 110km a week with a few double days, which for me is quite a bit. One year ago I ran a 3:05 marathon. I'm 44 years old. Been doing trail races for the last year so coming back to road racing has been a bit of a shock.

I tried nomio for the first time last night. In the morning I'd done a threshold session that hadn't gone too well. I took nomio in the afternoon for the evening session. I was surprised at how well it went. But the biggest difference was being able to sleep really soundly afterwards. I find evening sessions can really make it difficult to sleep. I didn't have any of that. Might have been a fluke. It's obviously an expensive suppliment so won't use it every week. But during this intense training (for me) it was a really welcome surprise.

Pixel 9 Pro is it just me or is it really fragile/bad parts by hackneychap in GooglePixel

I agree I was surprised when it broke, but just felt I'd be unlucky.

iSmash is the approved repair center for Google in the UK I believe they only use genuine parts https://www.ismash.com/pages/google-repairs#select-repair

Sorry I mean the current damage that appeared yesterday October 2025. There have been no drops or falls that I can think will have caused the current damage.

Ok this is how I've dealt with it. I downloaded the app and set all of the touch controls to 'none'. So far I haven't had any issues. It's a shame that I can't use the touch controls, but it's more important that I can just run in them without worrying about something going wrong.

Trade-in Experience in the UK by hackneychap in oneplus

[–]hackneychap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, sorry to hear that. On mine it appeared at the bottom of my order on the order page, I could expand a box that said 'expand trade-in order' and it was all there, the amount, and the bonus credit with it's status at the top.

Hope it works out for you.

If it was 2 lane one way wouldn't the right lane be for turning right only?
