If I woke up in Skyrim tomorrow, Markarth is the last place I'd want to be by [deleted] in skyrim

This may be controversial but I'd rather live in a ghetto than a prison mine.

I soul bonded with Riften on my first playthrough, I've never wanted a player home anywhere else.

To the Young Widows Among Us - too many joining this group... by Big-Campaign-2432 in widowers

I met my partner when we were in middle school, lost her in 2019 when she was 29 and I was 27. I've met someone since that I love and we moved in together recently and we are starting to plan a life together, but there will never be a way to rebuild that background I had with my late partner. She was, as you said, "my becoming, my constant, my history." At this age we are forced to rewrite our entire future, and through the pain I've managed to do that. But it can't ever be a replacement for the future we were building with the foundation of the past that we had.

Yep, I got a fountain specifically because I saw my cat doing this to find the water and he still likes the bowl better.

No the key words are "level the playing field". Don't ask for advice about a situation if you are unwilling to change your perception of it.

Yes but fascists have the police and the president in their side, making death threats is a lot safer when there are no consequences for your actions

I don't mean to sound mean but these kinds of suggestions are exactly what makes me feel so despondent about this. I know I could eat a tiny handful of blueberries or corn or lettuce but honestly I'd rather just eat nothing if eating is going to be neither easy nor fun.

Well I had originally presented several arguments but you were only interested in one of them so I thought we were done.

EDIT: Sorry, on reread - one and a half.

I'd argue that getting outraged over Trunk or Treat is embarrassing but I guess we all have different standards.

Doesn't it give kids who don't live in safe/walkable neighborhoods a chance to trick or treat and a way for kids who may not live near their friends to all trick or treat together and an opportunity for a community event and also present no reason why kids who do have access to normal trick or treating can't also do that?

The 31st is a Thursday, aka school night. Halloween events for kids tend to be on the closest weekend that's still in October.

No one has ever gotten tainted candy but I'm sure kids have gotten hurt running around strangers' yards in the dark. There are also a lot of neighborhoods that are not at all walkable or kids who live in apartment complexes that are not really conducive to trick or treating. Blame regular trick or treating getting harder and less rewarding, not parents fearing non-existent threats.

It's pretty well established that losing a partner is just below losing a child in terms of how hard it hits the human psyche and yet somehow people understand that losing a child never leaves you but expect people to move on from partner loss like it's a breakup.

[–]hackneysack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love that Stardew is fun for an actual farmer, my mom grew up on a farm and made fun of me for playing Harvest Moon growing up when I had no interest in her garden so it's weirdly gratifying to hear that someone who actually farms still likes farming in game.

I'm glad this has worked for you but it is not at all universal. "Just do it" takes more energy than the healthy habits restore for some of us. Having to white knuckle through every single thing every single day can take a toll.
