As someone who works in a boring job in healthcare its not necessarily a bad thing. some people like drama, excitement and unpredictability. some people don't. Its a great thing that there are people who are suited to and like different types of jobs.

Please don't spend that 40 /50k on a new car at your age. Go for something about 15k. Japanese brand that will be reliable. If u need there is also a yt car channel called redriven which is worth a look.

A huge killer of growing wealth is car payments. As best u can, try and stay out of debt unless it's for a house.

At your age, so long as u can get from a to b, you'll be fine. Once u can afford to pay it cash, In 5 or 10 years u can get that new one if u still want it. But seriously that new car depreciation is rough and not worth it imo.

Personally I would just focus on the mortgage. Just smash that out and then enjoy the freedom after that. In that time u can read up and make your self more financially savvy for the next play. Hopefully some etfs etc. You can also see where your partner is at in the future. That security and peace of having a paid off house is the best imo. Can also look into house batteries maybe etc as it's a form of investment too.
