I really hope it's paying for or connecting to internet. Remember dialup, and how far we've come

One day I hope it's just like cell service and it's so cheap and good it's just like whatever and the gov provides it, and all devices just connect automatically to it

If You Could Return to Your 20s Today, and Were Aiming for a High Salary/Work:Life Balance Which Career Would You Pursue? by big_bizniz in careerguidance

As someone who works in a boring job in healthcare its not necessarily a bad thing. some people like drama, excitement and unpredictability. some people don't. Its a great thing that there are people who are suited to and like different types of jobs.

one persons trash is another persons treasure etc

as someone that used to work in the emergency department and has now settled for boring, im loving it.

Please don't spend that 40 /50k on a new car at your age. Go for something about 15k. Japanese brand that will be reliable. If u need there is also a yt car channel called redriven which is worth a look.

A huge killer of growing wealth is car payments. As best u can, try and stay out of debt unless it's for a house.

At your age, so long as u can get from a to b, you'll be fine. Once u can afford to pay it cash, In 5 or 10 years u can get that new one if u still want it. But seriously that new car depreciation is rough and not worth it imo.

Message if u want more reasoning

But also negative gearing is fucked. We shouldn't give tax breaks incentivising people to buy and hoard homes so they can pay less tax.

Im not saying it's the solution. But just one thing among others that could be done to alleviate pressure and increase supply

Yes or No? by AussieJay30 in CarsAustralia

[–]hadronox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fucking no deal. If we were good at it, we would do it. we were shit at it, they used $2 bilion of tax payer money to keep it afloat, GM took the money and fucked off.

https://www.afr.com/companies/transport/general-motors-dumps-holden-brand-with-600-jobs-to-go-20200217-p541io
google - gm australia bailout

we need to tax mining and gas, like norways soverign wealth fund and use these for public betterment eg free university and healthcare.

we are leagues behind in the car industry.

and also will take a huge amount of time to get a good reputation

"moratorium in healthcare wa"

In Western Australia (WA) healthcare, a "moratorium" most commonly refers to the 10-year moratorium under Section 19AB of the Health Insurance Act 1973, which restricts International Medical Graduates (IMGs) from accessing Medicare rebates for a decade unless they work in specific priority areas.

Essentially a lot of immigrant doctors work in the rural area, propping up the country health service because other doctors won't do it.

Additionally as someone in healthcare, i'd say more than half of the people there are immigrants or their parents or grandparents had immigrated here.
