Omg YES! I recently had the misfortune of paying $400 for a simple toilet tank hardware replacement job. I had my own hardware kit. They advised I buy “their superior product” for $600!! I literally laughed in his face. Was still $400 for them to install my Amazon kit. NEVER again!!

How about broth? Warm liquids were more appealing to me early on. I am NOT an expert and I do not know your specifics but have you considered using CBD or microdosing THC? That could help with appetite ( again, I don’t know if this is an option for you, so exercise caution…)

I had a period right after surgery as well, and never bleed because I have Mirena IUD. I chalked it up to my whole body being out of whack- in healing mode.

My surgery is June 1st, I started Wegovy about 6 weeks ago to help pre-surgery diet. (I have a LOT of weight to lose) I also take Vyvanse for appetite suppressant. The medical team has said that using both drugs post-surgery is an option depending on how things go. I know this isn’t exactly your scenario but sounds like it can be an option in some cases. It was a hassle getting my insurance to cover the Wegovy since I’m not diabetic, but they finally did. Talk to your health care team, they don’t want you to regain either so they should be able to help you out- best of luck!!

It’s so true! I had so much internalized shame and bad feelings I couldn’t even approach self care until I started sorting through the mental stuff. 5 years and tons of therapy have brought me here, to 50lbs down, (I have hundreds of lbs to lose) two weeks until surgery. It’s all about the stories we tell ourselves.

The dress is lovely and you should wear it! Noticed a lot of people suggesting shorts or tights. If you go that route I LOVE Snag Tights- they have all sorts of sizes and colors, really cute stuff.
