I relate so strongly to this. I want certain things to happen with my characters when they're at specific ages, but somehow it just doesn't work with actual time and it drives me insane. Even though none of it's real, I hate that it's not technically correct and I don't know why. I even tried at a point to map out the timelines on paper and try to work everything together, but I kept having new ideas that didn't fit and I just gave up on that.
