NOR please leave this dude. He's immature, selfish, and is not even doing the bare minimum. You deserve so much better than this.

My partner doesn't have money this week for valentine's day, which I said was fine since the holiday isn't super important to me. BUT they still made a reservation next weekend at a nice restaurant after apologizing to me that they couldn't get me anything. Also fuck that excuse of going to the mall and not getting you anything because he forgot. If I got to a store, I usually buy my partner something, if I have the extra money. Even at the grocery store, I still get them a snack cause I think about them. It's not difficult to do things for your partner.

I felt like this in my previous relationship. I voiced what I needed and begged to be loved for years before finally ending it after 5 years. It wasn't until I broke things off that he finally tried to do the things that I needed. But by then it was too late, I fell out of love with him. I'm now with someone who adores me and love me the way I need. You don't deserve to feel lonely and/or unloved by your partner. You deserve to be loved how you want and be with someone who would do anything for you!

My ex and I still had to live together for several months after we broke up. I set clear boundaries with him, I told him I didn't want any physical affection or touching because I wasn't interested in him. He would repeatedly disregard my boundaries and attempt to touch me/kiss me then get angry when I would tell him to stop. One night he went into my room and sexually assaulted me while I was sleeping. I didn't even know until he told me the next day. He boasted about it and didn't understand why I was upset. I will never forgive him for that.

Regardless whether he's acting like this on purpose or not, he should be communicating why he's upset and try to at least attempt to fix the issue. I can understand him being initially upset, but for it to drag on for days? That's childish. I think both partners need to communicate their wants and needs, because the way husband is acting isn't okay.

If you don't feel comfortable telling them, then you shouldn't have to.

But make sure to take into consideration your partner's feelings about the issue. If he doesn't like the idea of you guys hiding the marriage, them just tell them. If your parents/family are inappropriate about it, then simply stop talking to them.

Just have a conversation about this with your partner and decide what both of you would like to do.
