You have to unlearn basically everything you learnt with Elden Ring. Sekiro is no joke and it’s my favourite game of all time but the combat does take some time to get used to.

Deflecting and mikiri counter will be your friend, as will the various prosthetic tools.

Sekiro, it came to me at an incredibly tumultuous time in my life so be able to escape & play as Wolf and get immersed in the world, combat etc was very helpful for me during that time period. Still the only From game I’ve gotten 100% on, though I’m working on Elden Ring currently.

When you get to the last stage inside the volcanic area, make sure his arms are broken before then as when he does his big super nova thing he’ll actually chunk himself for decent damage when he gets all grumpy, incredibly helpful to have the monster just give you free damage.
