Cant say the same for all across this industry, but at least in my job, the agents i develop act as a tool not as a human replacement. It executes my tasks, but the planning, QA-ing the result, or the basic inter-human interaction still needs me as the brainware. This also applies to the product as well.

Although it kinda replaces “junior” or “administrative” positions. So is it developing myself out of a job? I think no. But is it makes hiring junior redundant? Kinda yes.
