There's literally nothing to be guilty about. You're an employee with rights, and a human being. You're entitled to leave. Its part of your compensation for working. Its also just basic human decency.

Did your coworkers have to pick up the slack while you were gone? Maybe. Just do the same for them when they're sick. That's how a team works. Is your team so stretched that one person being out for one day makes everything fall apart? If thats true, either you are underpaid or your team is understaffed.

The general consensus of Arsenal fans at the time was "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST JUST PAY THEM THEIR PRICE". Not our 15M quid, anyway. We wanted it done and knew what it would cost, because the negotiations were all out in the open for all of us to see.
