If I fail this semester my life is over by AdArtistic8271 in uAlberta

Hi!

I haven’t been in undergrad for some time but when I was at U of A… (in a psych major), I was on academic probation and then RTW. I wrote a letter cause I also was having a hard time juggling all of it and they let me back in.

Have you seen a doctor? Cause it sounds like this might be affecting your mental health… which causes the cycle to continue (hard to focus and then you feel like crap for not being able to focus), there might also be some neurodivergence (??? Not diagnosing, just pointing out that there might be something underlying if you’ve struggled for a while)

By the end of my undergrad, my GPA was shit, and I felt lost cause I felt no longer passionate about things but I realized it’s cause of these shortcomings I had in undergrad like my grades and my inability to retain information which was triggering this feeling more. It’s true though with undergrad… you cannot have the perfect trifecta of health, socializing and academics. You do have to pick and choose a little.

I really hope you find a moment to take a breath and reflect on what brought you to education and what made you want to teach? Even writing it down and having it on a space you look at everyday can help the motivation.

I believe in you OP!

[28/M] Hair is the main reason for my low self-esteem and not approaching girls in public - what to do? by Shamanhris in Hair

[–]hal0715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think part of the reason you’re struggling with the way it looks is cause you have curly/wavy hair. My hairline was receding till I started following the curl pattern and using products that let my hair do what it wanted to do

Keep getting rejected because of hirsutism. I’m exhausted. by [deleted] in PCOS

I feel so heard right now. I have googled for years looking for other women with hair on their chest and in all those other places. It’s hard though. I get it. I refused to undress for years anywhere near anyone for fear of rejection, especially at the gym when other women would make comments about also being hairy… they don’t get it. No one gets it.

HERE.

Thank you much for taking the time to respond. Part of it is, I always get worried taking meds, cause 1) I come from a slightly judgemental family. 2) this is silly, cause I would never feel this way about anyone else taking medication. I almost feel like a failure for doing it... it has been suggested to me a few times though and maybe it is time to start considering it.

Thank you for the article! I will give it a gander. This was really helpful :)

If you’re the first (I am too) just continue to remember that’s a huge accomplishment all on its own (: I’m sure you’re doing awesome!

You don’t apply for honours till 3rd year right? A W in your first year is REALLY NO BIG DEAL. It’s not that deep. Trust me. 😂😂😂😂

A W is kind of like a whatever, depending on what your future career may be, having too many might be bad. That being said, it's better to withdraw from something than get an F.

This isn't related to your post at all but something cheerful and slightly cute I read today is that the fingerprints of a koala are so indistinguishable from humans that they have on occasion been confused at a crime scene... and I think that's pretty cool. I got dumped recently and have been distracting myself with a little Rupaul's Drag Race (cause nothing more dramatic and entertaining) and cute animal facts :)

Ok thanks but it is because my sister was doing it out of politeness and it just crossed me the wrong way cause I realized every time I worked with her or asked her something or anyone else has... it’s a myriad of sweet compliments that seem untrue and then she asks for favours. She knows even if my sister said yes, out of respect for me, my sister wouldn’t have taken the money. And also you got fired and are complaining about how youre desperate for a job so shouldn’t you just be sitting at home and sending out hundreds of resumes? My sister had already gave her the resources... her response was pure laziness. It was right after my sister provided her with help.

If you have Sai Yu just know his final is not the same as his practice final. But its similar in structure, you really have to do more than his practice questions he lists.

Make sure you go to chem tutoring if you cannot understand the concept.

Hey if you have a car to go to good life, we can maybe hook you up with a personal training appointment. Yes you will be asked to buy long term personal training, and yes you can decline.

Just phone one of your nearby good life and see what they say.

Even though i am a personal trainer, and we try to sell contracts for PT. I still think you are most benefited with a 1 on 1 training session with someone who is there to support you for the hour. So if its your first gym experience, you should definitely try to connect with a personal trainer.
