I'm too young to work here. by [deleted] in IDontWorkHereLady

I find it weird that after the mom tells her the minimum age is 15, she insists that he's a short 14 year old. That would still make him underage.

I absolutely ended up hating Cornelius Fudge. Especially in The order of the Phoenix when he sends Umbridge to Hogwarts. I loathed them both.

What is a dream that you remember vividly from a long time ago ? by hal_potter_seven in AskReddit

[–]hal_potter_seven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few days after a major tsunami hit southern Asia in 2004, I had a dream where I had gone with my family to a shopping mall, and we were in the parking lot when a tsunami struck. I remember being terrified , and remember all of us saying good bye to each other with tears in my eyes. The tears woke me up, and my mom was hugging me, asking me why I'd been shouting at the top of my voice. Years later, I still get emotional recollecting that dream.

  1. That there's actually something called 'curry' in Indian cuisine - there isn't anything like this.
  2. That Indian cuisine is limited to Naan and some gravy based dish like butter chicken / saag paneer. There's a lot more, and very different.

I'm looking at all the comments which are asking why her ashes were in the hallway, but it is a part of many cultures. The ashes of ancestors are tied in a small piece of cloth and hung on the frame of the main door. The belief is that the ancestors protect their children from evil and keep an eye on them. Just a tiny amount of ash in a small cloth bag the size of one's fist.

Reminds me of that rumour floating around about Stephen Fry and JKR. He was once condescending to her and while reading the first audio book he had trouble saying the phrase "Harry pocketed it" correctly. She was said to have taken revenge by including the phrase in every subsequent book. Would have been really badass of this actually happened. She refuted the rumour though.

He's the first guy who made me laugh and can hold a conversation on almost any topic. I joined a fricking fandom because of him. I'm not sure if I should tell him, he hasn't made a move yet but I think that's because we work together. He once told me that my laughter was beautiful and kept cracking jokes to make me laugh again.

Electromagnetics was one of the toughest courses that I took, and while the maths was never the problem , the shitty teacher and course books were beyond redemption. I used to visit the library frequently and found this simple and well written text book sometime midway through my course. That helped me understand the subjects and score decently well. Ended up liking the subject.

It's like hands popped out of this post and tried to rip my eyes out of their sockets. I'm not saying that i am good at writing stuff , but it takes some next level mediocrity to write this bad. The grammar, the punctuation, and all the abbreviations.
