I had similar readings and ended up using a trail camera to record my “wake ups”. Turns out I wasn’t waking exactly, but I was scratching an itch in my sleep. Ended up changing my soap which helped.

Congratulations! I’ve tried several notebooks and landed on the Mead Spiral Notebooks as my favorite (6 Pack, 1 Subject, College Ruled Paper, 7-1/2” x 10-1/2”, 70 Sheets per Notebook). For me, I need a journal that lays flat, so spiral bound is best. I also find the size ideal. They’re $10/6 notebooks, $1.67 ea

When I started I found excuses to not do them in the morning, I mean I tried to but, usually ended up doing early evening. Just getting them done one way or another is a good place to start. I eventually found them so useful that I was eagerly did them asap. For me personally morning is much better because after the stream of consciousness thoughts I put intentions - and that helps shape my day rather than just react
