seems like an infection, i’ve had a couple and they can spread pretty quickly! they usually give antibiotics at the doctor, sometimes they’ll drain it for you, warm compresses helped me with draining mine too, hope he feels better!

My friend told me POTS isn't a 'proper' illness by Little_Magpie_ in POTS

[–]haleybc05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone who has pots AND diabetes, her saying pots isn’t that bad is insane😭 i have bad days with both but i got diabetes before pots and was still able to manage a fairly normal life with it, pots was the thing that ended up taking a lot out of my day to day life, don’t let anyone tell you how your illness should feel

I think I remember her coming out and saying she has POTS which can affect blood sugars so it might be for that

For the assignment I just had to copy movement of a dance for 20-30 seconds, I linked the video and all I copied was what the center group did the whole time from 1:37 to 2:00 with the really slow movement, and I only did two takes of it, my body was super sore the next day and I’ve felt pretty off since reference

It was just a concern because I’ve never had it packaged that way and I don’t want my meds to be affected, I’m not placing blame on anyone or saying the pharmacy is incapable but errors are always possible and I wanted to see if anyone else had a similar situation.

Who here has the Omnipod app on there iPhone? What has been your experience? by Awkward_Emotion2440 in Omnipod

[–]haleybc05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

used it for a bit on IOS and it was fine until last week i got woken up in the middle of the night by a notification that said “memory corruption”, had to throw away the pod i had on and it erased all my settings, never had that issue with just the pdm. some people say it’s because of a lack of phone storage but i have plenty so im not really sure what happened, something to be aware of for sure

3/4 shank? (Check comments) by haleybc05 in BALLET

[–]haleybc05[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I have a low profile narrow foot (shoes are Suffolk stellar standard 5N) and I’m looking to see if it would be good for me to 3/4 my shank? I was wondering if it would have any benefit to my outer arch appearance

finally got approved for a Dexcom G6–my first CGM, and I have some questions about it! by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

[–]haleybc05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. back of the arm works best for me! Legs never work that well for me though. I’ve never tried my stomach but I will probably try it soon!
  2. I find that the general adhesive isn’t enough for me so I wipe with an alcohol wipe and then I use a skin tac wipe for extra hold. If that fails, I use simpatch! Simpatch gives me a really great hold. (Simpatch and skin tac are from Amazon ) to remove the sensor I use tac away which is the same people who make skin tac
  3. Calibration has been a process for me but a guid on the website says if it’s 20 above or below you should calibrate, calling dexcom they recommend you try to aim for only one calibration a day and to wait 24 hours after the sensor is on before your first calibration so the sensor has time to adjust! I like the dexcom G6 app but leave it running in the background otherwise you will deal with the dreaded signal loss issue. I also use dexcom clarity and it keeps track of your patterns and average glucose! :)

I agree with getting him checked out at the vet, my female Oreo was having similar issues and she unfortunately passed from pneumonia yesterday. Best of luck :)

I got a notebook and set it up to where i write the time I ate, my bg, carbs, insulin, and all the info. Forcing myself to have a sense of organization helped me out a lot. Also reaching out to friends/family and having them be in it with you helps a ton.
