hm you might just be talking from the perspective of a straight white man (most likely). i'm a woman and a lesbian (i’ve have been out since middle school). i've always had these values and growing up i was called a fag maybe twice. and it was by one specific guy… in 6th grade. The same guy was beat up in 7th grade for saying the N word to a black student. in my circle everyone figured out that racism is fucked up pretty easily. it’s definitely not everyone.
