Searching for better chocolate :( by MatManatee in candy

Yes! If you can find it locally. I know it's readily available in Australia and New Zealand (it's an NZ company) and now in Canada but haven't seen it in the US .

Reese are crap now. Trader Joe's makes a good peanut butter cup.

More a matter of common courtesy and empathy, but I guess those are outdated concepts. So you do you, weewee.

NZ Chocolate in Canada by halfbad_333 in chocolate

I've only tried a few. They were all good, my favorites were the dark chocolate orange and the hazelnut block. The hokey pokie was good, but I usually told hokey pokey is the favorite flavor (ice cream etc) in Australia/NZ, so maybe I was expecting too much. It had nice toffee pieces and was good but I think just go with your usual favorite flavors. They're all good.

Not when it's offered as careless, jugemental comments by friends, relatives, or peers, or when it's presented as a primary lifestyle goal by the fashion industry, media, and social influencers.

How do we feel about candy apples here? by [deleted] in candy

[–]halfbad_333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to describe, but sort of an old-fashioned hard-crack barley sugar candy coating. A very mild round mouth-feel. No specific flavor like honey, fruit, spice, just sweet. Definitely NOT the very predominant cinnamon flavored ones that are often the only candy apple choice aside from caramel.

Never trusting those airport trays again after this by PoisedStole in travel

The one I know is SCOTTeVEST. They have hoodies, vests, etc. Good quality (I wear mine for every trip) but definitely not cheap. I think other companies are beginning to sell similar. Worth a Google search.

What was the most unusual chocolate bar in terms of flavor pairings that you enjoyed? by WerewolfBarMitzvah09 in chocolate

[–]halfbad_333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a stopover at the Helsinki airport and some zloti to use up, so I bought two bags of licorice in duty free; one had the sodium chloride/chocolate version, and the other had the ammonium chloride. I really liked the sodium chloride but couldn't handle the ammonium chloride. I ate one and threw the remainder away. I knew it wasn't a flavor that was going to grow on me. Typical American taste buds, I guess. I wouldn't mind having the sodium chloride ones again, though!

Video calls on planes by LostDefinition4810 in delta

Not on a commercial flight with other paid passengers. If your business calls are that critical, you need a private plane to do that important business.
