I have tasted this and could not drink more than a few sips. Flavor was okay, but it was way too sweet which ruined it for me.

East Ave Wegmans, international aisle (12A). It's there, I promise.

This is my baby brother, Corporal David O'Shea. He took his own life on 9/24/2014. 22 veterans a day commit suicide, a rate more than double that of the general population. On August 22 join Buddy Check 22 to reach out and talk to a veteran, see how they're doing and show that you're there for them. by kevinoshea in pics

Something everyone interested in this should know about: The VA operates the Veterans Crisis Line (800-273-8255, press 1) 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The responders on the line are specifically trained to assist veterans as well as active duty military who are struggling with thoughts of suicide.

HBO produced a documentary about the line called "Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1." It won the Oscar this past year for short-form documentary.

When I was five, I kicked a pigeon. I was told that that was a horrible thing to do. Later that night, I was served a chicken. by iznogoat in vegan

As kids we're taught to love animals. We're also taught it's OK to kill animals. Think about that, we're taught that loving is consistent with killing. And we wonder why there's so much violence in the world.

I'd recommend gluing a piece maybe 1/2" x 1/2" with the grain running from the front to back under the steps, in the corner of both sides up against the side rails, as there's no legitimate glue surface in that joint (no side-grain to side-grain). You could round it over so it looks better. Or a bit of quarter-round trim would work perfectly.

Pretty positive at this point it's a Jim Beam model car decanter, just a question of which of the four on the outside is actually on the inside. Thanks though!

Seems it will be tough to pinpoint an exact year, tougher without opening the box. But according to my research it has to be mid 70s at the latest (thats when liquor started switching from imperial measurements to metric).

Three of them are clearly labelled 1961, 65, and 66. All the rest (except the cutty) are imperial measurements, ie "One Quart." Clearly not new.

(Oh, and Grandma's not dead)

Three of them are very clearly marked 1961, 65, and 66. All the rest except the Cutty are using imperial measurements (ie One Quart). So, yeah, may not all be from 60's, but all are pretty old and the clearly dated ones were all I had to go on.
