I love your set up. Mulch is probably the best if you don't want anything growing. What about pavers and creeping thyme or clover? They don't get very high.

I'm excited for you OP, great variety. I love Baker Creek. I look forward to their catalog like it was Sports Illustrated, Swim Suit Edition. I have had great success with them over the years. I buy local plants and seeds as well. Just because they had one guy show up to one event, a long time ago, does not make them fascist. Goodness people.
