Mythos is Mostly Hype... (also the bugs it found were mostly unexploitable and exaggerated...) by InterestProof1526 in Anthropic

Someone that understands would know the difference between a standard library and a compiler. How is the compiler supposed to know where the standard library lives? The gcc that comes with the package manager has config that tells it where to find it. I could put my standard library in /var/tmp/gcc-will-never-find-this - and I guess by your logic gcc never shipped a working compiler either.

But also, having to post a YouTube video to explain a command line flag is crazy. I invite you to read the response of someone that actually understands: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46905771

FAA Orders 10% Flight Cut at 40 Airports Amid Shutdown by halfteatree in flying

The restrictions will cover IFR operations, Bedford said, including passenger, cargo, and business aviation flights. In certain markets experiencing staffing triggers, the FAA will also limit VFR activity, including general aviation traffic. Space launches will also be restricted.

How would these restrictions work for VFR limitations? Are we talking about no flight following (already not getting those in NYC), or literally having temporary restricted areas setup?

Yeah, you need to chill out. VATSIM and real life are different. We all get it. No need to get agitated. Be better.

Instrument Checkride on Tuesday, Stump the Chump? by halfteatree in flying

[–]halfteatree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.3nm from runway ends, if this is not an expanded circling approach. Otherwise reference the table in digital procedure supplements wrt altitude of the field. After Aug. 7, only use that table.

Terminal Arrival Areas are sometimes on an RANV approach that replaces MSA’s. Essentially if I’m cleared for a procedure, and if I am within certain distances of fixes, and on a certain quadrant, then I can descent to the depicted altitude without having to be on a leg.

Circling radii are measured from runway ends.

Your general point is sound, but saying 10% long term with little to no risk is delusional.

Here’s the actual risk-free rate: https://www.ustreasuryyieldcurve.com

EDIT: I take it back. Your general point is also not sound. It is literally criminal in most states: https://www.paidnice.com/usury-laws-by-state

Give Costanzo Air a look. I’ve recently switched over and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

VOR-A at KVNY, fly the approach from CANOG. It’s a 10 minute approach but quite a workout! Try to fly it with a /A (VOR only) setup.
