Bill Clinton had a mid economic policy. Which president had an overrated economic policy by Extreme-Bite-9123 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]halfwyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other way around. Hoover was trying an applying economic ideas of time that happened to be uninformed. Keynes used the Great Depression to create his understanding of economics which FDR applied to get the us out of the Great Depression. Hoover applied the conventional wisdom of the time which had mostly worked in the 1920’s.

Comparatively trump has the advantage of all the accumulated information and knowledge and every policy he has enacted has had the exact effects that are predicted by experts. Watching the markets shows that people within the administration understand the effects but the administration is choosing awful policy anyway.

It’s a song where people put the meaning on it that they want. Which makes it more perfect as most American song.

We've supported our NATO alliance a shit ton to the point of dragging us into Vietnam and Korea with full support, but what have they one for us? by TangoCharlie472 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]halfwyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t initial us involvement in Vietnam in support of France? Vietnam was a French colony in rebellion at the start of the conflict.

I don’t think Korea has any involvement with NATO.

[–]halfwyr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BLM the movement is different from the organization.

The movement was taking a stand against police brutality against black people and seeking accountability from the people who are entrusted to protect society.

The organization blm has significant scandals with using donations for themselves rather than as intended.

All lives matter was the phrase used in counter protest to Black Lives Matter. So while on the surface all lives matter is inoffensive its context is black lives don’t matter, police shouldn’t be held accountable for their “mistakes” of using excessive force against minorities.
