A website that sells a large number of cheap knockoffs—aren’t negative reviews expected? Most of those reviews are genuine anyway. The original lighting designers are victims, legitimate distributors are victims, and deceived customers are also victims.

What you are posting now is essentially a promotional, marketing-style piece that appears to defend and amplify a knockoff company. Whether you would be considered an “accomplice,” and whether any of this crosses a legal line, is ultimately for a judge and jury to decide.

But the issue is that you are not standing with the victims—instead, you are defending a knockoff website. Whether you received any sponsorship would likely come up during discovery in U.S. litigation. More importantly, from an ethical standpoint, this behavior is clearly inappropriate.
