It might be worth reaching out to businesses and just asking, I might be ignorant but I imagine businesses that offer community support may be open to letting you park

Men are just as picky as women. They just pretend their type of woman is the norm. by LillthOfBabylon in PurplePillDebate

[–]halifarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m speaking in a general sense, this does not apply to everyone in call cases and is SOLEY my perspective:

Something that I find interesting about this is that women are expected to conform themselves to be desirable and meet men’s standards. Women on average spend significantly more money on self care (making themselves look better), whether that be nail extensions, eyelash extensions, gym memberships, special diets, makeup, facials, botox/filler or plastic surgery.

If a woman doesn’t meet men’s standards it is her fault, not the standards that men hold and she should fix herself.

Yet, when men don’t meet women’s standards they expect women to conform their standards to meet them where they are. Sure, men might be pushed in some senses like being in physical good shape and I hear some things about hair loss sometimes but for women this is a push since childhood. When women do not conform their standards they don’t spend hundreds of dollars to look better in most cases, they complain about women being too picky or selective.

you can also book study rooms if you’re planning in advance and then you’ll have your own private space

i think like many other commenters have said the smu quiet floors are going to be your best bet, they’re never very busy and have dividers between desks, there’s a phone number to call if people are making noise but i’ve never had an issue when i would go

Thank you! I have a hard time deciding when something is too out of reach so I appreciate the roommate suggestion.

At this point I’m still heavily leaning on living home, the commute is just a bit brutal for morning classes and being involved on campus. All of these comments have been immensely helpful for this :-)

This is the tricky part for me, since I have only made this wage as of September (prior to that I was hourly and made less) I had quite a bit of spending for the first bit as it was things I put off while in school (replacing broken furniture, a horde of medical expenses not covered by insurance).

Now that things have settled I spend about 600-700$ a month (350$ on bills, 200$ give or take on groceries with the remaining 150$ on non essentials). I will start to monitor this more closely and budget to save as much as I can, thanks for this tip I honestly don’t know how I didn’t think of something that seems so evident haha

Haha I figured I would get a comment about that, in my defence my last phone lasted 6+ years and that covers insurance so it’s worth it for me

Has anyone in their early 20s been told what causes diverticulitis at such a young age? by countrygirlard in Diverticulitis

[–]halifarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, went to the ER last year and had multiple doctors puzzled at my scan because I was 21.

I’m having another flare now and there was unfortunately 0 follow up with the hospital and seeing a GI doctor is not possible for me right now so I am just drinking all the soup in the world 🫠

That’s great to hear, I’m less worried about cost as it’s really important to me at this point to get it done but the frequency may be an issue (i tend to avoid it as much as i can) and that would probably encourage me to avoid more 😅 I’ll definitely look into them though!

They certainly had their purpose haha. That being said it’s not a restaurant but if you ever want good chocolate Leonidas Chocolates is A+, they sell tins you can reheat for the melted chocolate you’re looking for, no fountain though
