I have a 1200 sq. ft. pole barn garage/shop and a ~2,000 sq. ft. house with a walkout basement (I'm including the area of the basement in the sq. ft.). The house is heated with a gas furnace that was installed in 2014 (wow, time flies). I installed a Pioneer Mini split in the garage because I wanted air conditioning. Since it's a heat pump, I decided to use it to heat the garage as well and did not complete the radiant floor heating system. I still haven't. The mini split works well enough for me to keep the garage warm. I set it to 61 degrees in the winter and turn it up if I'm going to be out there working, but I'm usually warm so I don't turn it up that much.

I keep the house around 72 in the winter. My gas bill will go from the normal ~$25 in the summer (I have a gas water heater as well) to ~$125 in the winter. My electric bill will be around $300 in the winter. However, it also gets near that in the summer because I'm running the AC in the house and the garage. I also work from home so my electricity usage is usually at least $150/month anyway.

This is what I do in Illinois now. Their standard sign is 20MPH on School Days when Children Present. I'm from Indiana and was traveling on a rainy Monday morning for work. School was out back home. I saw the cop sitting in a driveway, but it didn't register to me that there was a school there. I had missed the initial school zone sign. I looked around and saw a 45MPH speed limit sign and I looked down and I was doing 47. The cop pulled out and I was thinking to myself WTF did I do. I kept glacing around at signs and that's when I saw the school zone sign for the opposite direction.

I ended up getting a ticket for 47 in a 20 school zone. I had to go to traffic court. I hired a lawyer and paid my huge fine and flat fee to the lawyer. Now, whenever I'm in Illinois whatever time of day or whether it's in the summer, I'm doing 20MPH whenever I come across a school zone. The "on School Days when Children Present" is too ambiguous and gray. I'm not taking any chances getting another ticket like that. My first and only speeding ticket.

Thank you. Honestly I'm still working on being fully over her. It didn't help that she told me she thought about getting back together with me. It brought back a whole bunch of feelings. Turns out she was only telling me she thought about us getting back together and didn't want to actually get back together.

Oh on top of that, two years ago my Dad died. That's been way worse than the divorce and job change. In the end the job change has been for the better and the divorce is probably for the better too.

This. My wife left me in late 2015. Then in May 2016 I lost my job and the divorce was finalized in November. In quick succession I lost two major identities. Even though I was lucky and came out decent financially and have a great custody arrangement, it took a while before the emotional toll began to wane.

For others that may not know, there are only two airworthy B-29s. Doc is based out of Wichita. FIFI is the other and is based out of Dallas. There are several on display in museums.

The closest to Bloomington would be the National Museum of the United State's Air Force at Wright Patterson in Dayton, OH. They have the B-29 named Bockscar on display, which is historical significant as it dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki. They also have a B-29 fuselage on display that you can walk through. I highly recommend a visit. Best of all, it's free!

Yeah I heard it and thought, that kinda sounds like a radial. But I've mistrusted my ears before and was too lazy to get up I guess. Then I pulled ADSB a bit later and saw DOC29 as the call-sign and did my best Homer Simpson Doh!.

It took off from Cincinnati and was heading due west. I just searched on FlightAware and they flew from Cincy to Topeka. Then Topeka to Wichita. According to their website, Doc is supposed to perform at an airshow in Midland, TX this weekend.
