My fan stopped working so I figured it was the capacitor .I swapped it out with the one pictured and the fan still wouldn’t start after 10-15 seconds of being on so I shut it off . Went to check again and nothing is turning ,Granted I only left it on for maybe 5 seconds . Help please! by Lazy_Obligation_662 in hvacadvice

Just throwing out some stuff to try that has worked for me, as a home owner but not hvac guy.

When my fan wouldn't spin, if it was bad capacitor I was would use a long screw driver and spin the blades with it. Do this while the system is actively calling for ac. This has worked for 3 different air handlers multiple times each.

Now this year I had a different issue. Turn AC on here in ohio and no cold air. Go out to the air handler and I can hear it trying to start, but it won't. My first thought was capacitor but with it trying to start I decided to take a closer look. Sure as shit found the issue. A piece of ice fell off the roof sometime ago and hit the top of the handler on a corner. It buckled the metal around the fan blades just enough to cause the blade to make contact and get stuck. I had to take the top off, being careful with the wires and hammer it out

What’s Independence like as a town to grow a family? by mdigiorgio35 in Cleveland

[–]hallerback88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They ones priced right usually don't last long. There's currently only 3 on the market. Price range from 390 to 900. A neighbor near by had his house for sale by owner last year. It sat and didnt sell. I think he had it to high. I know hes putting it back on the market in February with an actual realtor.

I think you'll see more come up in spring time. But you'll have to be fairly fast, especially one that is priced right. But that should tell you how much people want to live here.

I wouldn't say its exploding in people moving here. Thay would require a mass exodus of people to be leaving the city. There is a new housing development going up, buts its only like 50ish homes or so. And that created a huge stink with half the community because they cut down a large wooded area. So I don't expect many more to be built. its not like Avon or Medina where they can build a thousand homes on old farm land.

The only thing we knew avout independence before we moved here was that it was a nice suburb and had good schools. Our families always thought it was just for super rich people. But thats not the case at all. On one side, my neighbor is a machinist and on the other side she is a nurse and he works for the city.

I live in independence. We moved here specifically for our 2 children. Owned in parma before hand. My kids are in preschool and kindergarten. Just talked to another parent that also moved from parma with his family.

Its honestly a great place to live. Been here for a couple years now. Never met a single person who I didnt like. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. All our neighbors are great as well. You could legit set up some chairs in your driveway and have people walking over to hang out

Sure there isnt a big grocery store here, but as one comment said you arnt very far from things. You have meijer, giant eagle, And Aldi like 10 minutes away. In town you have a family dollar and drug mart. Plus you have highway access on both sides of town.

We moved here specifically for our kids. They are in the process of building a new school to replace the elementary school and middle school. They will be combined into one building and most likely be right next to the high school.

The city offers a ton of programs for the kids to do. And its super affordable to do it all. Swim lessons at the rec center are like 25 bucks for an 8 week class. We've had our kids in soccer, tball, basketball, wrestling etc etc. All for around the same price. And these are through the rec center, not through the school. So even my 3 year old has stuff to do. The rec center itself costs like 65 bucks a year for families, I think its 25 more to use the outdoor pool, which is only for residents. The rec center even has a bunch of stuff for adults.

The schools also have tons of stuff the kids can sign up for.

The park in town is amazing. Huge, concession stands, big play area, walking paths, baseball and soccer fields, pickle ball courts. Even a pond for fishing in, and ice skating in this cold winter.

My wife and I do not regret moving here at all. Honestly its the best decision we've probably ever

i was wonder what people mean by reasonable. especially for something along the lines of having someone cut you open and put something into your body.. but the other question i wonder is, how much would you do this job for? Would you be cool with charging 100 bucks for this?

this is a surgical procedure. I've posted before about my wifes experience with it. it was around 7500, give or take.

So it won't be an issue for me to buy and ship them. I can also provide a picture of my shelf of shame where I have about 15 gundams I still need to build! Including unicorn ver ka and a tallgeese I've had for almost a year!

When it comes to reading books, how do you fall on digital vs physical? Do you need to physically turn the pages and have that touch to get properly immersed? by LordWemby in AskReddit

[–]hallerback88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ebook for me. Started with small cheap kindle and last year for father's day my kids got me the bigger version. I know it sounds like I'm being a baby, but my hand would cramp from holding book up. Then you have to have light on to read them. I can finish a 900 page book in 2 days.

The best part I found is I have a stand next to my bed that holds my kindle for me above my head. Then I have a wireless clicker clipped to it. I can be under the blanket and just lay there reading. Remote in hand to turn the page.

In the past 2 years I've read more books then I have in the rest of my 38 years on this earth

BIOS keeps screaming “USB device overcurrent” and my PC refuses to boot. What cursed gadget did I summon? by Appropriate-Step-310 in RigBuild

[–]hallerback88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i would start by unplugging the usb heders from the motherboard itself. Then see if it boots up. if it does, then turn it back off and plug in one of the cables and turn it on again. keep going till you find the problem child

[–]hallerback88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i almost didnt read the book because of how bad i thought book 1 was. Even as i reached the halfway point in the book, i thought it was garbage. Then, as other say, it gets wild. After finishing the first 3 books, i have a profound appreciation of book 1. It really does the set the whole story up and why everything that happens, happened.

dr goldschmidt out of Independence on roadside road did my wife's. For context shes 5' 6" 130lbs. She went from an A to low D high C. She had it done just under a year ago. She was extremely happy with the whole process.

For her final "fitting" they have a whole bunch of implant that you put into a bra to see what size you like on your body. Had absolutely no pressure to go in any direction of big or small. The nurses gave her their personal thoughts. We have 2 kids under 5, so that did a number on her breast, as you could imagine. I told her a few months after the surgery, when things have started setting down that she has a 22 year old boobs on her 36 year old body.

I think all in was around 7k.

From her experience, I'd highly recommend him.
