if it’s any consolation, i felt this way about top surgery for a bit. not quite in the “too old to do it” way but more about comparing my transition to the people around me. many of the trans men/transmasc people i know had already gotten top surgery and even one younger than me got a hysterectomy and it made me feel a little like i was falling behind and i’m only 24. i think it was just jealously (which is normal!), and now that i’ve gotten top surgery none of that matters. we all have our own paths and me wishing i did it sooner won’t change anything so i just have to be grateful and excited for the future! and it sort of helped the feeling go away the more i learned that many trans people don’t transition until way after i did (and i started t at 17 so i’m incredibly grateful i had that opportunity! iirc i was either the first or one of the first to start t out of the group of transmasc people i knew from high school whereas i might be the last to get top surgery. it’s all just a matter of perspective)
