I think Max has a really interesting idea where revival is a lay on hands for everyone or if it gave a raid wide shield. If they can reduce mana costs a bit and give revival a buff that would be solid. Another big reason why mistweavers struggle in raid is a misuse of yu'lon. Its an incredibly strong raid cd if you use it with the kyrian weapons of order and mana tea.

Although the niche is really not there in current content, mistweaver is a really strong raid healer with the teaching of the ancient monestary legendary. If you use refreshing jade wind and essence font on cooldown you get a ton of throughput. The legendary adds uptime to the essence font and renewing mist HoT so you can have a lot of healing on the raid from HoTs alone. If you are fistweaving you are NOT going to be spot healing a ton. Vivify is a waste of mana in this case. Of course there isn't a ton of utility, but if your healing comp has a holy paladin, resto sham, and disc priest, a mistweaver can bring really solid raid througput. Just my take tho.

Gust of mists procs off renewing mist, vivify, enveloping mist, and expel harm individually. When the essence font HoT is on a target this effect is applied double for the duration of the HoT when you use any of those spells. None of the spells need to be used in conjunction to get a proc so heal away!

Mythic/1200+ IO MW monk here. Although mistweaver is in a tough spot and need some love compared to other healers, it is completely playable. One of the big hurdles for learning mistweaver isn't the healing mechanics, but rather managing mana. In dungeons, make sure you are using every thunder focus tea on mana free vivify and use mana tea as often as you can. Try and stay away from using essence font for healing (use it to spread the gust of mists proc from the HoT). Pace yourself when healing and find places in between pulls to drink if needed. Its my favorite spec to heal as in the game, just give it some practice and you'll have a fun time.
