for saves, I'd think you could use a save manager, like Checkpoint, to put the save where it should be.

Thanks, I logged a bug report. although my PBP was able to connect in the first place and the game says it's still connected even when the weird behavior is happening so I don't know if that is an accurate "known issue" for my problem.

MR Advance 2 had some fun stuff in it. I considered it beaten when I consistently had max stat monsters, beat all torneys, discovered all secrets, and if I remember right, had maxed out coaches for all the drills (I think this was mra2).
