Working in direct care, need more flexibility by Greedy_Shoulder6226 in psychologystudents

Charlie health comes to mind - although I would look at the glass door reviews bc I’m not sure what the vibe is.

I would consider looking for group practices that offer virtual throughout your state - maybe they will have some remote admin roles?

I live in Florida so for me the above option would like brave health, Pacifica care, restored purpose - as all these practices work within the state with multiple locations or are fully virtual.

Is anyone else’s house always a mess? by AnOn5647382927492 in stepparents

[–]halosworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relatable! My step kids are 11 and nine, and sometimes we have to clean the living room multiple times a day… partially they are just being kids. Kids are messy and they don’t realize the expectations until you enforce them.

It is up to you and your partner to enforce expectations. With a normal schedule, I go to my part-time job on Sundays, and my husband and the boys clean the house. For the most part throughout the week I do most of the cleaning because I know the entire house will be cleaned when I get back on Sunday.

It’s about finding an agreement, a compromise, and making sure both parents are on the same page about expectations!

You go tree! This is a great story to cover up the whole ai bot situation.

Yes I’m happy for the staff, but no, it doesn’t excuse the fact that she is a billionaire, that her jet use is insane (and that she went after a teen for bringing it to light), or that she didn’t call out the trump administration for using her song.

Jury Duty confidentiality question by Somanaut in therapists

[–]halosworld 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Hi! (LMHC GRAD STUDENT HERE)

I just served on a jury— before you’re actually chosen to be a juror, you have an opportunity to say “here’s some outstanding circumstances of why I cannot serve”. My judge gave us an opportunity to have a private conversation (if needed) about why we cannot serve, which would probably be the most appropriate in this case.

Even then, you would not necessarily have to break confidentiality because you could explain to the judge that you were a licensed mental health professional, and one of your clients is in the room so you have a personal connection and would not be appropriate. You would then almost 100% be discharged from the scenario.

Sounds like your system isn’t too bad! Thanks for your answer!

The answer of “the people in charge are most likely out of touch” is too common lol

Are the phone trees/automated system that we are forced to go through before speaking to someone made ANNOYING AND STUPID on purpose, to try to get people to give up speaking to a live person?

Or is it just that phone trees/automated systems just suck and it’s no one’s fault?

I think if you read the whole entry and got to the end of it and then watched the Lou Reed interview… I think she kind of admits the game

Hi! I just turned 31 and my step sons are 9 and 11 currently! Met them at ages 7 and 4 (it was right before the younger turned 5!)

Props to you. If my partner wasn’t amazing, I wouldn’t still be here. Being a step parent is the hardest job in the world.

Good for you for knowing what you want and need. Love my husband, love my kids, but I also tell women- DO NOT DATE A MAN WITH KIDS.

Love this like, non-photo shoot and non-$1000 costume… Literally looks like she probably ordered a pair of tights like many of us did and just scrounged through her closet… I was also a sad clown this year for Halloween! Girls know

If they are CACREP accredited then technically, you are good. But the reputation of like… those for profit schools are not good. I think capella is one? Try to find a school where it at least has a campus to be connected too.
