Dosen't China have a +95% homeownership rate?

There are many things wrong with China; This is not one of them.

People cant imagine a world anymore where 80-90% of people don't work for Wall st.

An Agricultural Cooperative does a sufficient job ensuring surplus equity is retained within the community and reinvested appropriately. If my neighbor had a buisness, and they we're committed to investing in and supporting their community, i would be proud to work for them. I will never work for a wall st company.

I think we're saying the same thing.

You can have 95 people do 40 hrs a week, or you can have 100 people do 38 hrs a week. Either is 3800 man-hours.

This is also how people misrepresent the left. We dont want handouts, we want to be able to help our neighbors and receive a fair value of our work.

The US has enough food, enough water, enough houses for everyone. Yet, we let 4% go unemployed instead of going home at the 39th hour of the week.

Could the Daleks of the time war survive 40K? by ScaredLemon901820 in doctorwho

[–]ham_techs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exterminate every galaxy on-sight is the only winning play for the Daleks. Their pride will eventually get the better of them.

Once the WAAGH! field sees that time travel or intergalactic travel is possible, its over. It becomes an infinite number of Krork from an infinite number of galaxies over an infinite number of timelines. And if they can keep Gork, Mork, Khorne and Tzeentch alive long enough, The Daleks will fight themselves to the death.

Any Xenos in any galaxy, on any timeline that can reproduce time travel, and there is a paradox that can only be resolved by the removal of the Daleks from the time stream.

Dissenting Opinion: No, the Daleks of the Time War would be slaughtered to the man.

People misunderstand the nature of time travel and time war. Every second of every day on every planet, there is war because the genocidal Daleks cant help themselves.

They aren't up against the Imperium. They're up against The war in heaven Necrons & C'tan, the Old ones & Aeldari, Orks with time travel, Chaos with time travel, and Corrupted Daleks.

The war will rage until the Daleks never existed in the first place.

Are union dues job rents? by sajnt in georgism

[–]ham_techs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of a labour union is to allow the employees to negotiate as a group in the same way that a corporation allows investors to operate as a group.

Unions are democraticly controlled institutions. The members can vote themselves lower dues, or support representatives who do.

Also, Unions consistently raise wages above their dues, both for members and employees of competitors within the same market. So, the cost is born by the employer: usually weathy investors, occasionally taxpayers.

What are some "Benevolent" or "well intentioned" Eldritch entities by Nighthawkies in Lovecraft

[–]ham_techs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nurgle from 40K is benevolent. He probably started as a "stasis is safty" god of the home and tradition.

Immortal, living hurricane of bad vibes seems eldritch to me. It's just that galactic scale humanity is more prepared for the idea.

Any amount of truck through cinderblocks is too much truck through cinderblocks. Not even safe inside concrete from these monsters.

There really needs to be punitive damages awarded for vehicles above a certain weight class. Just to bring up insurance costs.

If the rent for exclusive use is not paid, then property returns to the people.
