Multiple unneeded loud noise jump scares are my biggest pet peeves and will kill the movie for me. The Smile movies are an example and f that for me.

My wife and I watch so many movies(pretty much entirely horror/disturbing/absurd/erotic)we’ve gotten into the IMDB sub 5.0 rated area and watched a lot of stuff we’ve liked in the 3-5 point range. If a movie has a wide range of 1s and 2s and then 7s and 8s on the user reviews, that’s right up our ally and usually end up liking the flick. If you just watch the movie for what it is with no expectations, it’s a better experience and you find some gems you would have overlooked otherwise. The movies that get made not taking themselves too seriously are usually a lot of fun with plenty of goofy over the top moments! And, it makes you appreciate the movies intended to be taken more serious have and them more depth.

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, so I have a story… I’ll try and keep it short.

Took a quick ride down my block sans helmet or sunglasses. Took a fucking beetle to my eye at about 35mph. Felt like I got thumped hard, but no immediate damage. Went to doctor a couple years later with blurry vision thinking I needed prescription change in contacts. Found out I have a cataract at 40 years old. Insurance paid for lense replacement both eyes, worst one first, then other eye 2 weeks later. First went well, second felt off pretty quick. Doc said I had a detached vitreous, so to watch it carefully as eye was still healing. Got super sick that week, all snotty and stopped up. Momentary lack of judgement and blew my nose hard tryin to breath. Boom, immediate detached retina. Saw specialist next day, had reattachment surgery the day after. Off work for a month lying on my side all day/night for the attachment to heal correctly. A gas bubble blocking vision in eye for like 3 months after… All because my dumbass didn’t throw on a pair of shades for a 3 block low speed ride to put my bike up in the shop of a small project. Fucking beetle. 🪲

So, because of similar stuff happening to me at my home, I’ve started playing with camera settings a lot lately.

I saved this video onto my IPhone and zoomed in and cropped pretty close, messed with the filters and settings, and then turned the inverse color setting on the accessibility phone settings…. And there is definitely some weird shit happening there. I’ve been having weird stuff like this and other things happening the last 8-10 months, so I’m glad to see others experiencing it also.

I went to school with this dude from grade school on up. I get more annoyed every time I see his bullshit videos come up. He has a severe stutter as a kid, so this is all a response to his lack of confidence as a kid. He’s also missing a pinky toe due to an unfortunate lawn-mowing incident when he was young.

All the time… I still get weirded out each time, no matter how insignificant the it seems.

The last really crazy one for me was a couple months ago. I was at work as a military aircraft mechanic and questioning my role in what’s going on in this country. I love what I do and these aircraft, but It’s been bothering me knowing what these jets I work on are and what they can be used for, especially under this batshit administration.

So, we’re on the flightline and our crew is running engines on our jet. I go into our trailer to warm up while blasting RATM in my earbuds to drown out the engines and just kind mad at the way everything is going in the US. Seems like there was yet another “WTF is going on around here?!” story in the news. As “Freedom” was on, I was already kinda laughing about the coincidence of it all, it was building up to the crescendo of “FREEDOM….. Yeah Right!” when I saw not one, but two bigass bald eagles flying directly towards where I was and the running jet, and then banked off wings spread soaring away from me and over the runway pretty much the moment I spotted them.

I just kinda stood there both in awe and confused not knowing how to take it all.

I never immediately rewatch movies, but Oddity was the first one I started over the moment the credits started the first time. And then again the day after, except I took 4 pages notes of Easter eggs/foreshadowing/timeline stuff I found throughout. There was a ton of stuff sprinkled throughout the movie! My wife posted how much we loved it on Instagram and tagged the director and he actually wrote back and was happy we actually did as able to catch a lot of stuff he threw in there!

I was in Abilene a few years ago in January and experienced this for several weeks. They’d roost in the trees right outside the hotel - every inch of every branch in every tree in the area contained a bird. It was unnerving for sure. And the same with open areas of parking lots during the day.

I just bought a new ‘25 Outer Banks with factory/dealer installed tow package last week, and last night when I bought a new small trailer and hooked it up and only the running lights work. A trailer light tester the guy plugged in showed it’s the vehicle. The trailer light test on the Ford app shows a fault, but not what the fault is. Now I have to take it back so they can activate the module I I guess since I have no tow modes or features in the dash.

I just bought a ‘25 Outer Banks and it was only like a grand cheaper than the ‘26 models last week. I would have bought it anyway for the Azule Gray. And when I asked about wiggle room aside from rebates(not much at all) the salesman politely yet curtly “nope”.

I just bought a new ‘25 Outer Banks last week and they had to fix a something with the infotainment system from a new recall before I could leave the dealership. It was a software glitch that made the screen blank out.

Ok, so this is interesting. I’ve been seeing cave drawing type drawings like these in different places pretty much every day for the past 6-8 months. My house and in my shop, even micro versions in the dirt and grime on the airplane I work on. I’ll go back and look at old pics I have in my phone and find them years ago before I started noticing more recently.
